Would love to hear more about which visa you applied to stay in Thailand for years. Great video Sam, thanks 🤩

Thanks for a well presented video. I would add a couple of items which are on my list of things to watch out for when looking for a condo. For those who intend to use the pool regularly, make sure it gets some sun at least for part of the day. Some pools are covered or in the shade for most of the day and in spite of the heat the water can be freezing. I use the pool daily so that would be a deal breaker for me. Also check the water pressure in the shower as that can be an issue in some condos. We'll be condo hunting in March so it's always good to watch videos like yours and see if there's anything we can add to our list like lift waiting time for instance. I'm assuming that would vary from condo to condo but also would depend on whether you use the lift at peak times when people commute to and from work or during the day when it's quieter. Thanks again and all the best 🙂

I have lived in Bangkok for 10+ years, stayed in all kinda luxurious apartment brands: Ideo Q, Rhythm, Park Origin and some others, mainly in Chid Lom, Asoke, Phrom Pong and Thong Lo. The quality is mostly incredibly bad. Thin walls, small rooms, stuff breaks after just 1-2 years. Now I moved to an apartment that was built in 2010, massive walls, no noise, much larger room. In these small luxurious apartments I paid around 25-30k baht for 35sqm. Now I pay 25k for 60sqm and still have a large gym and swimming pool. Same location in downtown Bangkok. Yes, these newer luxurious apartments seem super nice and fancy, but its mostly just a small room, you can hear every noise, sometimes the balcony doors doesn't even fully close (like in Rhythm.....) or they have paper walls (like in Park Origin).

Thanks for sharing. Any fb groups you recommend? There are a ton but they post every 5 seconds and most posts are thai agents that don't even speak english.

Hi! Great Video, thanks! My question relates to how deposit and rent are paid? I lived in BKK 10 years ago and paid the deposit in cash and had to pay the rent at a deposit machine in cash as well. That's why I often had to withdraw money due to the 10.000 Baht ATM-limit and always had the ATM fees. Are there modern money transfer methods these days in common if you don't have a Thai bank account?

Hi Sam, the $350 condo tour you done a while ago, would you still suggest that to a first timer in Bangkok?

100% , had plenty of facilities, still overall quite modern, had things like a massage shop, incredible pool, sauna, nice outside area for walking , I miss that condo sometimes haha

How much can usually be negotiated down from the listed price? And are there no options for 1 month, for example from people going on vacation?

Hey Sam do you get lonely in Thailand? I'm a bit worried about moving there and being alone.

I think the biggest problem with condos is the expectation people get from youtubers like you calling every crap building with a rooftop pool a "luxury" condo. Out of the condos listed maaaaybe the Esse qualifies. But not really. It's just not very honest, is it. If we're talking luxury condos (and they do come with their own set of issues, build quality, in general, is quite bad in TH) it would much more be something like branded residences like FS or Ritz or buildings like The Scope, The Strand, Vittorio, or the likes. Most definitely not something like Nobles, Origins or Knightsbride.

When you talk about the size of the condos, you're talking about one-bedroom condos?
@Sam_tyler_7 күн бұрын
Yep, most luxury condos are between 30- 45 square metres in size, that can be 1 bedroom or even just a studio, 2 bedroom sizes range between 50 - 80 square metres generally

You dedicate a part of your video to tell us about newer and older condos, but never give any range of construction year to define what is considered an older bulding ? Year 2005 ?2010 ? 2015 ?
