Nice to see the comparison. I like the kydex version more. My first camping trip to the USA from Canada was in the Adirondack Mountains with a bunch of friends who planned the trip. Unfortunately it was the biggest nudist colony in America and I only found out after I got there. RainBow Gathering, biggest shock of my life. Here I was a good old Canadian boy out in the middle of the wilderness what about 4,000 and naked people what was I going to do. I couldn't go back to Canada because I had no idea wher I was so I had to join the group with no clothes. Basically all I needed was a Gore-Tex fig leaf. The moral of the story is always make sure you know where you're going before you go. After 1 month I left the colony and hitchhike down to Mexico and then to the bottom of Mexico by myself.

I’ve had the older version for about 5 years. It’s been my go-to for de-limbing in my very large yard and it outperform all the axes and other large knives I’ve used. The extra thickness = extra weight and that makes it that much better for wood processing.

After seeing your video, I'm giving my heavy-duty kukri to my 6'5 son and, ordered the K-tact! Everything I want and needed to know, was in your video. Thanks! And btw, he'll be getting that heavy-duty kukri on Christmas! He already LOVES it. It'll be a great surprise...

Awesome video! Your son is so great! You and your better half are so blessed to have a special son!!! i do have this kukri and love it. It is a beast of a knife. It skins game, makes feather sticks, and fire wood as you showed. Great channel.

I bought my K-Tac kukri back in 2021 and it’s my truck knife to deploy in the bush. The actual truck knife that stays with the vehicle is a BK2. I love the extra mods from the HD Kukri and most of all, the Kydex sheath (doesn’t present water issues). Peace Be The Journey!

This one sits right on the front of my plate carrier near my left shoulder. Fell in love with the original one out camping so I just knew I had to buy a second for the rig. Once I saw that green kydex I ordered without even looking at the thing. Great video. You be shown up in my recommendations before and I can't believe I'd never subscribed before. Have a good one

I don't know if I said this on a previous video, but I filed down my handles on both of my condor kukri's. I prefer my smaller one but the bigger one has it's place

After much research and deliberation, I bought the KTac version in Coyote Tan. Most happy clearing brush. I haven’t used the kukri as a wood chopper or splitter YET, but this tool rides well on my belt (with dangler) while I’m clearing the biathlon range. Life is Good!! Not a single regret at all!! Buy once, cry once!!

When I go to buy the heavy duty it says it's 6mm not 10
@jorgefernandez6407 Жыл бұрын
Btw these days, the only difference between the K-tac and the Heavy duty, is the handle and pommel cap! They're blades are both the same size as the K-tac now! And as a matter of fact, the pommel cap on the K-tac, actually makes it "heavier" than the Heavy duty!!! I compared them both when my K-tac arrived...

Thanks for a great review. I purchased this for security detail as it entailed working in the bush and it’s an excellent and very versatile blade.

Condor's website says they are the same thickness? What's going on in this video with the much thicker HD? I kinda want that version now lol!

Hey brother. Awesome vid--Am wondering why your Condor HD is 10mm, when all the rest I can find online are also 6mm, like the KTAC? You mentioned something about it not being the original. Does that mean there are two versions of the HD, one being 6mm and one being 10mm? Thanks. Liked and Subbed.

Thank you. Very helpful review. How would you compare these kukris to your Jungle Bolo knife in terms of an all around knife for chopping, wood processing, carving, butchering/skinning and self defense. I am torn between the kukri and the jungle bolo for this purpose. I have an all around great knife and hatchet but I want to explore and one tool solution. Your opinion would be greatly appreciated.

@@3RiversSurvival they are abt 30 dollars difference in price and I want a long term Kukri. Even if you know a better brand or Kukri, I will purchase that. I am just looking for the very best in your Expert opinion

@@D-Breezy94 I really think this kukri is hard to beat. I purchased another good brand and gave it to a friend working in Mozambique as a gift. To my great disappointment he told me that the blade broke. One of the reviews on YT tells the same story. Reviewer bought a Nepalese kukri and the handle broke apart. Maybe we were unlucky, both getting duds, but I can assure you that my K-Tac takes any task in it’s stride.

It’s not actually a Kukuri then. It’s a replica. My Kukuri came from Nepal, hand crafted. It’s incredible. WW2 g14 military standard grade, not mass produced. Gurkhas were very successful with this knife. It’s perfect as it is and shouldn’t be changed. Thousands of British soldiers would testify to this. It’s designed to kill in one strike, silently. So the best and toughest light infantry in the world , Gurkhas, use the most efficient killing method with this knife. For 200 years they have been winning more VCs than any other British regiment; with a Kukuri.
