Fun fact from a person that lives in Peru: Condor's have something really beautiful and sad about their mates, it is said that, once one of them is about to pass away, they both go to the most tallest mountian, and then they just let theirselfs throw from it, getting close to the ground, the one who is still going to live, spreed her/his wings to go up again, while the other just rest down. But this is just an story, I would like to see if it really happens, it would be so cool but sad to see a couple doing this edit: Ok, this is a lot of likes.

With mega-fauna extinct, and the massive, constantly replenished body counts from European "settlement" of the Americas long past, and with modern day military conflicts less frequent and generating carnage on nothing like the scale of earlier wars, our best hope for a resurgence in the condor population now rests solely with the Corona virus. If THAT turns out to be a dud, we'd best start keeping pets, children and very short people indoors.
