Condos rocks for the price. I have 2 of their plate carriers one with plates that I've been running for years and its in good shape.

Sickest review ever, got the tan one exactly a year ago, I tend to find my self never using it, because I live super close to the beach, and I live in so-cal, anyway. Super chill review. Thanks for sharing that.

ryan ward Thanks a mil mang. Its funny you say that because I'm also in So Cal and have had little use for this jacket so far. Winter is coming though so I'm ready when or I guess if the rain arrives. Haha. Glad you enjoyed the review. You keep watching and I'll keep posting.

Well explained video, thanks. My only gripe is the front zipper: it sucks. Hard to do up; hard to undo. Mine is stuck so can't use it until I get it fixed.
@witkidone5 жыл бұрын
Agreed my man. The front zipper is trash. If only they had gone with one of the heavy duty Poly YKKs right? Oh well. I just baby the zipper on mine and so far it's still goin...not strong but going. Haha

nice vid, the arms look a tad bit long. how does that affect your fit? i have the first gen summit, when it was just known as the summit 602. my arms are too long also, thinking of getting another one, if the arm length issue is fixed.

Does the fleece lining make a big difference, especially if I plan on layering? I'm thinking of purchasing a Summit Zero because it's apparently lighter but at the cost of warmth I guess.
@witkidone10 жыл бұрын
I cant directly compare to the Zero to the regular Summit as ive never held, worn, or owned the Zero. I can def say though that on this one the lining is not super thick or bulky but still does a great job of keeping body heat inside the coat...unless of course you open the vents. Then it cools quickly. Ive heard good things about both versions so if you plan on layering and you dont live in a super cold climate then im guessing you should be fine. That being said id prob search for some Summit Zero specific vids (i know there are many) and then make the informed decision once you have all the facts. Good luck man.

great review. You've convinced me to buy another. One because I didn't know they started making it in MC. And two, it appears they've addressed a few issues i had with mine which is now well over a year old. I didnt care for the fit, the torso seemed really short with the sleeves being too long, I am a pretty short guy as well. I normally wear large jackets but i think i might order a medium. I also was not a fan of the hood no matter how i tried to stow the hood in the collar it made it incredibly bulky and I didn't like how it adjusted. My biggest gripe was that the main zipper wasn't backed and here in MT last winter the wind blew right through it. Side note I was wearing mine in a pretty heavy rain about a week ago for work for approx 45 min, I stayed dry and after about 5 hours the jacket was actually dry again.

Jared DeVault Man that's awesome. Appreciate the back story on your original jacket. Always great to know how product designs change over time. Shows a companys dedication to their customers satisfaction. One thing to mention is that I think the overall length is still a bit short or at least equivalent to sleeve length. Im 5'-7" and 185 lbs. and the jacket I'm showing here is an XL. Wanted it to be a lil large so Id have room to layer as necessary underneath and this jacket turned out just perfect for my needs. Anyways thanks for stopping by and good luck with your new jacket.

Just a heads up: If you search for "shark skin waterproof jacket" on either Amazon or Ebay, you'll find the exact same jacket for considerably less. Condor simply take the same jacket and rebrand it and then charge more. It's the same practice for any branded item. There's only a few factories that manufacture these things and then sell them wholesale to other companies who also rebrand it for resale.

Hey man, question for ya. I’m not sure if you still have this jacket and if you would care to part with it? I am gathering gear and heading to Ukraine in about three weeks. I’ve been looking your Condor jacket all over the place because Condor no longer sells it in Multicam (OCP) and cannot seem to find it anywhere. The Amazon versions of this do not match color wise. If you’re interested in please let me know. I’d really appreciate!! Thanks much!

I know your comment is a bit old, but I find myself with the same issue. You can’t find these anywhere anymore. UF Pro sells some Multicam soft shells, but they’re like $400

@@Hitithardify Hey man, That’s funny. Ok so I’ve been on this ridiculous quest to find a soft shell multicam jacket that’s fleece lined. It started off around the time I first contacted you, and has kind of continued ever since.

Hey brotha, I know you spoke about the size of th jacket being an XL. How do you find the fit as is without any gear on? Would you say it is a snug fit? Loose enough to wear gear under? Thanks for the in depth video really gives an opportunity to get a good visual idea of the product!
@bzelflipador10 жыл бұрын
Also do you find that with the hood tucked in that the collar compresses your neck a lot? Do the under arm "pit zippers pinch you while they are zipped or bother you? Thanks!
@witkidone10 жыл бұрын
bzelflipador Honestly i like the fit when worn as a regular jacket (without any gear underneith). That being said i do tend to like a little extra room in my clothing. I think if you order the same size as the tshirts you wear it may be a bit snug. I went up a size and couldnt be happier.
@witkidone10 жыл бұрын
bzelflipador The collar is def a bit thicker with the hood stuffed in it but i dont find it restrictive or annoying at all. Actually it does a really good job of keeping body heat in the jacket when the hood is not being used so i think overall its a very functional design. As for the pit zips...you do feel them because theres no backing flap in that area but ive never been pinched or anything. Just feels a lil cold when your skin comes into contact with the metal. Haha.

Despite the price, this is still a rip-off of TAD Gear's original design.
@witkidone10 жыл бұрын
Bob Lawton Yeah they are strikingly similiar (haha) but at $359 for the Stealth Hoodie, Id expect more features...not less. The only thing the Stealth Hoodie has going for it is the YKK zipps all around. The Summit has reinforced forearms, better cuffs, internal zip pockets, more organization inside the chest pockets, storm flaps over the chest pocket zipps, and a stowable hood with dual zipp collar. All excellent steps up from the original design. All that and the fact that the TAD Gear jacket doesnt come in MultiCam (which is the whole reason i was looking for this jacket in the first place) all pointed to getting the Summit. Overall i just couldnt convince myself to pay more than double the price for a lot less jacket. Haters can hate all they want but im very happy with the decision i made.
@777fuzzypeach9 жыл бұрын
What a disappointment this was. Beautifully designed jacket was ruined by the abysmal workmanship. Just over 1 month of wear and the thing began to unstitch itself in several places! The front zipper was a pain to operate. Obviously the cheapest thing YKK offers. Get yourself an Otte Gear version. Far more expensive, but the workmanship is light years better
@witkidone9 жыл бұрын
While i agree that the quality control and overall craftsmanship could def be better on this jacket, i will say ive run this in a couple classes as well as used it for general rainy day duties a LOT since ive had it and i havent had any issues with anything falling apart. Mine is holding up very well. That being said, i do agree with you about the front zip. They should never have gone double opposing zips as theyre always a pain to get started at the bottom. Also the zips there are sorely undersized. Had they gone with a single larger YKK zip there, i would have been a LOT more stoked on the jacket but for what i paid for it im still very satisfied overall.
