Installing a wheel chock from Condor and doing major work on the KLR650! This is a 2 for 1 video as I am continuing to outfit and update the shop with things I need such as the wheel chock setup on the cheap Harbor Freight lift! Making the lift useable then allows me to get the KLR650 on it to perform a ton of work that has been long needed as the bike has been down for exactly a year.
The wheel chock used is an SC-2000 from Condor:
Main website - www.condor-lif...
SC2000 chock used - www.condor-lif...
Rear shock for the KLR came from Cogent:
www.motocd.com...
The brake pads, sprockets, chain, foot pegs, and bearings came from Rocky Mountain ATV MC:

Did the same thing to my Harbor Freight lift, except I used the Harbor Freight chock. A bit more monkeying around on the mounting, but all in all it is about the same thing. That was a good video for the people who have the HF lift, or any lift with a wheel clamp. the chock just makes life easy. And like you say no tie downs required.

I love the editing. Whenever I work on my bikes there would be hours of extra work for stripped bolts, drilling out bolts, looking for a 10mm socket, cussing at spacers falling off the rear wheel hub when replacing the wheel, etc. I have a Harbor Freight lift and will look into the Condor chock. Very trick.

The Wheel Chock is very interesting!😍 I think I'll buy it... I also work alone, and every time I put the motorbike on the lift I risk it falling (I have to hurry to put a support under the motorbike). Nice work on the KLR, a colleague of mine had one and when he put it up for sale I regretted not buying it.😐

I looked at the Cogent Moab shock, couldn't bear to spend $800 on it, and wait two months or more for delivery. I rebuilt the OEM shock with a new Top Gun heavy spring, 10W Maxima, Factory Connection bumper, and new seal head. It works great and cost less than $200, including a nitrogen charge.

This was 640 shipped and had it in 5 weeks actually. I understand it's still expensive but I didn't want to have the downtime for having the shock rebuilt and the bike taking up a lift

@BrickHouseBuilds That is a good deal. Looks like you have a 2005 color scheme. Mine is an '05, went with the Maier OD green plastics and wrapped the tank in faux carbon fiber. That wasn't cheap, but like the look and was an excuse not to buy a new bike. Bought one anyway, though.

Found it! My home for tech support on the killer. I found one on marketplace for 1500.00$ needs carb work lol for seals and and output or is it counter shaft I don't know all the terminology yet. Oh but I will. With the confidence to fix anything I might run into, I can go out there and find one that needs work. It just makes sense to me to go with the one that has been made since 87. And I'm looking forward to the wrenching just as much as the ride.

It’s amazing how deep of a rabbit hole you can fall into online when shopping for wheel chocks. I needed one for my Thruxton RS: I bought a Pitbull paddock stand for it but trying to use it by myself made me nervous so I decided to buy a chock to go along with it. I ended up getting a Baxley LA Chock (which worked great once I adjusted it for my wheel size).

A condor on the HF lift is an excellent upgrade. I have had one on my lift for about 6 years and the last time I put straps on it was before the condor. I have to be honest though with the cost of the condor I have contemplated buying the HF version for some trailer use or parking in the garage without the kickstand being down when not on the lift.

I unfortunately had to sell both my '92 "Barbie" bike and my '97 Black KLR's a few years ago as I am getting too physically impaired to ride the things the way they needed to be. I miss the "Barbie" more. It had better power and the guy I bought it from had installed a matching "Purple" Corbin" leather seat. It looked ridiculous of course and I loved every inch of it. I DID have to do the "DO" on the '92 but it was worth it. Nice version you have. Not a big red fan. I'm a pink and purple kinda guy! :)

But wait! There is more! I also now own a 1995 Suzuki 1200 Bandit. The odometer is a mystery, A mystery I'll tell ya. BJ ~. it reads 22 miles now it's digital. What a mess. I now do not care. New Hampshire is pretty soft for getting a registration (odometer statement form) (antique status form) ( bill of receipt ) and (VIN check). Got em all for the Bandit. It is " title exempt." So two motorcycles you ask? R U Kidding I will not even get on the Suzuki. NOPE I am with West Virginia all the way. You have changed my life there B.J. I hope to ride West Virginia all the way from New Hampshire to Missouri this Summer. I won't ask for much. But maybe I'll have one of those DUNKINGS jackets that Matt and Ben and Tom were sporting there at the Superbowl. Yea drop off a jacket for you, have a coffee, just a few minutes there BJ.
