Saxxy Awards 2012.
I'm Spanish so excuse me if I write something wrong.
This is my first video made with SFM or any animation tool, so the animations are very bad, specially at the beggining. All the animations were made manually (or importing sequences from ingame), and the video was not edited after exported from SFM. This took me about 200 hours of work (including rendering times) and I have made it all alone.
All content belongs to Valve, only overlays effects were made by me, trying to copy TF2 interface.
I have submitted the video for Best Action or Best Comedy, but I know it is not gonna win. As I have said, it is my first video, but I think it is a pretty nice job. I hope I can bring you better films in the future.

Three months ago, I created this video to train and learn how SFM works. After a month of work, Valve announced that the Saxxy Awards contest would only accept SFM videos, so I decided to upload it to the contest. I did my best but, at the end, it wasn't good enough.
But here it is. Yesterday, Unbalanced Teams reach 500.000 views. Half a million of peoples have watch this video, and, surpriseingly, a lot of them enjoyed it. It has 9960 likes! I feel very lucky. You guys encourage me to keep doing videos.
Next week (I hope) I'll be uploading a new video. I don't know what will people think about it, but everytime I watch it, I feel proud.

Me on 5cp maps (I think it's called 5cp, the ones with 5 capture points in one map). I had so much trouble as a new engie since I don't know my way around the map, where the spawn rooms are and where the flank routes are. I also have a habit of not self-destruct my buildings since it felt like an eternity upgrading them. I main engine since I can't kill anyone point blank or any other ranges.

@@All-star_Giga_Gargantuar yes, and I do know about the movement reduction when hauling buildings but since I didn't want to rebuild my stuff, I probably spent like 2-4 minutes moving my building and getting lost every 30 steps I take while the cp is getting capped/contested while I'm being a lead weight for my teammates wondering where tf is the tele the entire time. Shortly after wondering about, I got backstabbed (ofc, why wouldn't it happen?) Then decided I'm too inexperienced to play engi on 5cp maps and switch classes. It's not a great first impression of 5cp maps for me, I sort of dislike that game mode now. I know I need to get back to it sooner or later.

If you build a sentry overlooking and guarding both spawn and the courtyard, the only thing that can get through without destroying your gun is a fast class outrunning the sentry turn speed by jumping up through the grate and running down the stairwell. The dispenser here prevents this by forcing them to slowly crouch-walk over it or destroy it first.

You can be as good as you want, you won't stand a chance against at least 6 enemies camping your base and just waiting for you to step out of your spawn. My team and I were being spawn camped on pl_badwater, I talked to my team to change class to Heavies and Medics, we spent 1 min in base charging up our ubers, after that we went out, activated charge, Completely destroyed the enemy team, and had a comeback, the RED Team was helpless against our army of Heavy and Medic pairs, but then RED went all engie, We couldn't handle it, then we decided to have 2 Snipers, 3 Spies, 2 Heavies, 1 Engie and 2 Medics and managed to cap the Last Point, It was my first time having a team that could actually DO something and work together, unlike the others who just goes solo and ends up dying.

Wow, I feel like a lot of the commenters read the message of this video wrong. I took it as satire, especially at the end. We've all been on one side of this or the other and it sucks both ways. The video is highlighting just that, and highlighting some of the TF2 culture of NOT wanting to have competitive matches, but instead steamrolling the other team over and over. But its also highlighting teams who work well together wanting other teams to do the same. Idk. Maybe I'm the weird one.

How about if people would stop acting all high and mighty and teach others in the community how to play the game better so that more competitive matches happen more often? Sure matchmaking is going to be a thing, but I for one like playing with 12 v12 teams. And when both teams are good the games are good. And getting a good team is only half the battle. Even a team of gibus players can be good if communication is open, which often it is not and is looked down upon and viewed with hostility. I've been on teams with lots of cosmetic decked out players but due to lack of communication, failure happens often. This video highlights this very negative attitude in the community. Maybe it should stop no? Maybe instead of looking a "shit" players and letting them stay that way, instead reach out a hand and help them.
