"Once Upon A Time In 2fort, Part 1" - SFM - Saxxy Awards Entry 2012

Didn't use any software aside from SFM, and didn't use any copyrighted materials (outside of Valve's IPs).
It was really difficult to get the 5 minutes limit on this movie, but I did it. :) Made a lot of improvements, added hats (as promised), reanimated some scenes to make them look better and as a lot of you requested - added music.
I'm really happy with the way the movie turned out, but for some reason I doubt I can win against professional animators, since I never studied animation and made my first animated movie 3 months ago, when SFM came out.
Still I feel very proud to be taking part in this amazing competition -- Annual Saxxy Awards 2012!
To all my subscribers -- thank you for all the kind words and support you've been giving me in the past months, I'd never been able to make this without you guys!
If you're a new subscriber -- stay tuned for more awesome stuff. I can't make videos often, but when I do I try to make it worth your time.
Once Upon A Time In 2fort -- Part 2 is coming in a couple of months! It will be a final chapter in this series. After that I'll continue making videos as long as I keep getting more viewers. I already have a couple of ideas for future SFM videos.
As for the rest of the gaming videos -- they're also coming! Not a lot of videos, but I think they're really funny.
So... Wish me luck guys, hopefully I'll get at least a honorable mention on TF2 website, because making this was a real challenge for me. And If you think it's worth voting for -- I'd be very grateful if you did!
P.S. And I'd like to thank Valve for releasing SFM, and making my cinematography dreams come true!

It's basically crazy how it started off lighthearted and humorous, ya know, the nine crazy mercs against another batch of nine crazy mercs, TF2 style. And then it descends to an utter dark thriller kind of story, you see that they don't respawn, there's this devil of a Pyro and suddenly it's carved in your memory as the day the BLU team got eliminated and replaced completely except for one member. Nevertheless, amazing entry that branched out into a hole remarkably written series! It truly makes you feel something intense. I've never viewed the intel room in 2Fort the same way after watching this...

I feel like emesis blue took some inspiration from this video & the ghosts of the past series later on, with the elements presented. It made come back here and appreciate it even more. I believe this entry was the catalyst that caused a ripple effect that opened up new possibilities & imaginations for contemporary animations to be made by using sfm as a tool. Which is thanks to this video.

I never realized that when the spy helps scout up in the beginning, you can see the blue pyro being chased by the red spy. That’s probably why the sniper knew the pyro was a spy later in the series; nice attention to detail

Thank you! I'm just getting frustrated that I can't get it done sooner. :( A lot of personal stuff is getting in the way (along with a job) and it's really hard to to work under stress and not fuck everything up. Hopefully everything turns out okay soon and I won't be such a psychological mess for my next SFM projects. :)

This was one of the first non-official SFMs I watched back in the day, it’s probably the reason why me and some friends got really into the game even outside of playing it and to this day I revere it as one of my favorites. Crazy to think that it was just the first part to a long series!

1011andriy RED isn't the bad guys, BLU isn't the good too. Most of those TF2 videos ends with BLU's intelligence stolen, and RED got arrested afterwards.
