Condry Ziqubu, a multi-instrumentalist and marvellous lead guitarist, was born on 28 July 1958 in Alexandra, Johannesburg. He was a member of The Anchors and the Flaming Ghettoes. His prominence was noticed when he was a member of The Flaming Souls, an Alexandra outfit started by Simon Twala, which released such haunting soul classics as the Godfather of Soul James Brown-influenced“She's Gone” (1968), with Philip Malela on vocals. Condry then joined the group Harari in 1981 and toured with them. After the break-up of Harari, Condry formed his own group under the name Muntu, which released a tract “ABC”, that helped put him on the map. During this period he assembled a backing band for exiled artists such as Letta Mbulu and Caiphus Semenya and toured with Harry Belafonte.
In 1984, Condry renamed his group to Lumumba, in honour of the late great Patrice Lubumba of Congo, with which he released his world renowned song “Skorokoro”. A veteran musician and sought-after guitarist, Condry has appeared on many tours and recordings as a session musician.

reminds me of the 80s . on the keys its one white guy by the name SELWYN CHANDELL pardon if i spelt it wrong . he was very talented considering this was music for blacks in south africa . apology to any white folks if offended.
