Even if I don’t pay for a front row seat, I always walk down to the band pit and watch them finish at the end of a show. It always blows me away just how talented they all are

I never get up and leave whilst the orchestra are still playing. Without them there is no show so I stay and appreciate their work until the end. I always make a point of going to the pit edge and thanking them too.

for everybody wondering, at 5:49 is the Exit Music, which is pretty much the same thing as the song before it (Bows) but it's specifically for the audience to exit to. It's not rude of them, but i do know i'd stay as long as possible. (I played in the pit for this musical when my high school did it)

It's designed to be exit music while people wait to get out. That said I always try to stay for it as the orchestra can often go for it a lot more as they are not having to keep the focus on the performers.

In professional productions of Legally Blonde the MD also plays keyboard since the the show is heavily drum focused so it’s pretty easy to keep in time if you have a good drummer.

The theatre is Wolverhampton Grand Theatre and the company were Wolverhampton Musical Comedy Company (MusCom).

A standing ovation isn’t required of the audience, years and years ago it would rarely happen, and now it occurs if you go to basically any show. If an audience doesn’t stand, it isn’t rude, it loses all meaning if it’s customary.
