I really like your style of explaining not only how to do something but more importantly, why to do something. Definitely worth being subscribed and sharing with my buddies at work!

Personally, I always place my straps with the screw hole on the bottom, and it gives the conduit better support over time, and if it get bumped or hit with something with a downward force, it will support the blow better, but sometimes you don't have the space in existing construction, and you're adding a run of conduit where you can. I actually picked up this habit when I was doing whole house automatic standby generators where I had to run conduit on a brick wall of a house outside from the generator to the transfer switch. I always placed my straps where the bottom of the conduit might be sagging on the mortar line of the brick to make it look good!

Thanks for the video. I think that you're an efficient teacher

Great video wish the demonstration was on a framed wall with 3 outlets and a switch showing conduit from a panel.

Never put the side of the screw on top. Always bottom. The ways it's UL listed to be used.

These schools have some shitty conduit techniques. Wow that offset with a 90 is the best almost obvious technique. Thank you

Hey there! We have found that the ratings of anchors for strapping conduits has a much higher Sheer rating than a Pull out rating. When installing the one hole strap with the anchor above the conduit, the force on the anchor goes straight down and the anchor has a higher rating for that force. When putting the anchor below the conduit the force is more of a pull out force which the anchor has a lower rating for.

One hole straps have no “correct” orientation according to code. The guy in the video definitely eats crayons and has kids in his basement tho.
