hi, this is a very informative video. I would like to ask, how do you go about if the cable is a multicore cable? say 4C cable? thank you ^^
@schulerruler Жыл бұрын
If it is a standard cable, table 5c still applies for conductors that carry current. If it is a flexible temp power cable, use table 12 for this application.

How about 8-108 rule? Before we can know how many circuit in the panel. Right now how to know how many circuit in the panel? Thank you!
@schulerruler Жыл бұрын
There is no longer a calculated method. It will be based on individual circuit demand requirements. The only requirement now is that there are 4 spaces left for future.

Under the far left column labelled "Nominal trade size conduit" all the corresponding sizes are listed. Just make sure your calculated area is smaller than the conduit you select.

Thanks for the explanation. Which tablet are you using to write on the whiteboard ?

This is a Huion Kamvas pro 16. It's a graphic artist drawing monitor, but relatively affordable on Amazon compared to a Wacom monitor.

I like the 2018 table 6 better, it would just tell you right out the gate what size conduit you need for your situation.
@schulerruler2 жыл бұрын
The issue was it was based off the internal diameter of an HDPE conduit, which was smaller than say an EMT. Using the old table 6 vs 10, 8, 9 often yielded a large conduit than necessary, which obviously impacts cost of installation.
