I lived in canada, i was 16 when they first started seeing issues, was initially diagnosed with macular degeneration, i was 24 when cone dystrophy was the conclusion( still getting “are you sure its not glaucoma?”) im now 34, i wear sunglasses clips for my glasses, i uses the zoom on my phone to look at restaurant menus. The light blindness sucks and i get the whole “your not blind” because they think legal blind is the same as total blindness. I hope you are doing well on your journey, personally im having issues with the anxiety on it but i appreciate you have such a positive addieude on the matter

Thank you for this great video I also have cone dystrophy and I love how you put it life’s not about over coming as much as it is to manage a healthy life.

Thank you. I have the same condition. With two children that inherited this condition too. I totally relate to what you are saying. I was diagnosed at birth in the uk.

Thanks for the Post I was diagnosed with cone dystrophy about 12 years ago. I've been lucky I only have moderate vision loss. I have never met anybody else with their diagnosis.

i have rod/cone dystrophy. diagnosed at 72, now 76. it is getting worse. NO ONE, not even my friends, believes me. i have photophobia, color blindness, and use a white cane too. i cannot see white on white, anything clear, cannot see with a flashlight, outdoors during the day, and pretty much the same as you. i cannot drive, which has ruined my life. i have a live in to drive me around. i have an IPAD PRO, but cannot use my cell phone at all. i stay in my dark bedroom mostly with my two dogs and cat. People just dont understand. i do see certain colors and for some odd reason, Wheel of Fortune is very colorful as well as certain Cartoons and ads on TV. othernthannthat when i watch movies on my IPAD are all black and white. i grew up with black and white TV so i feel i went backwards in time. Now i have a large cataract on one eye and i do notice that the vision is a little worse innthat eye. i will try to access your website since it is late here. thank you for yournvideo.
