Dan Akroyd is a Canadian from Quebec, born and bred; I'm pretty sure Chris McKeon is a Canadian as well. Hence, I'd expect them both to be able to parlez vous at least a decent amount. I remember he was but one of a zillion Canadian actors and entertainers who appeared in Micheal Moore's "Canadian Bacon." He played a state trooper/highway patrol officer/whatever they call them in Canada who pulls over a truck driven by a couple of Americans that has anti-Canadian graffiti all over it. He starts questioning them about it-- in such a way as to suggest they're going to be arrested for it-- but ends up letting them go after they spray paint each slogan in French so as to be compliant with Canadian law requiring dual French/English signage.
