We were up on Grand Mesa earlier this week. Recorded five of the campgrounds that were still open. Fall colors were amazing.

Stayed in #7 it was $26 for a weekday just before labor day 2023. $ 100 off leash permit for dogs. No fish in river.

@@jwrees57 Ah, I didn't get that. That's insane!! We used to go to that campground about 15 years ago when we lived in Los Alamos, NM. The campground hosts were chill about the two Weimars we brought with us.

A dachshund? I'm new to the breed, adopted a dachshund mix several years ago, a dachshund/chihuahua mix. Wonderful companions... very sweet dogs. Pita is her name which I named her after the girl in one on my favorite movies, Man on Fire. (If you haven't seen it, I'd recommend it highly.)

Yes, Smokey is a long haired dachshund. I don’t watch many movies but that is one of my favorites. Never gets old.
