How do you crimp the strap and feed it through both slots on the winch?

Thanks for watching! You measure the length of strap you need, plus about 3' more. Fold strap under & flatten fold with ratchet bar. Stick the folded strap completely through the anchor holes on ratchet spool. Pull through about 2' of strap. Begin tightening until strap is secure. You can now lay excess strap on deck. Curtains will keep strap secure from dangling.

👍Have pretty much same set up. Mac Trailer with the Eagle verduym tarp system. (Love it) I found the short 4" paint roller holder works great for the straps. I carry a sm extension to spin it on for putting corner protectors just to high from ground & the my long extension works great for grabbing strap to pull thru for a belly wrap.I use the j hooks for chain now as I think that weather strip makes it a little difficult for running chain around spools but other than that 👍👍. What brand is your tarp system? Seems pretty simple yet smartly built. Anything you can recommend about a trap system would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks for watching. The trailers are made by MAC. The curtains are all bought in a single order with MAC who outsources the curtain / tarp.

@@PopsFBR you happy with that setup? Did you shop around for the trailer with the tarp system or did you have experience with any of the others that made you choose Mac? With so many choices, I find it tough to judge by the videos and you seem like your an honest youtuber, so what is your opinion on the Mac trailer with that setup? Thanks again.

The company I worked for, ordered them in a group of, I think, 12. All identical. As for are they easy to work with, the answer is YES. The curtain / tarp is tough, though any curtain can be cut. But, what impressed me the most was the sliding mechanism. The curtain is easy to roll forward or backwards ON LEVEL GROUND. But be careful if you park on much of an incline or decline. Youll have to push them pretty hard and then bungee cord them back so they dont roll back. 👌
