I requested this once on WDVE and they played it. Summer of 83/84?. This song and Unchained (van Halen) were two of my favorites back then. They played both. I also remember seeing ACDC, The Frim, Honeydrippers, Van Halen, and of course MUD MUD MUD -Power Power Power Don't miss the Fun at the One. Sabado. Jimmy and Steve in the morning. Andre the Giant and Superfly Snoka. Midget Wresting. Bradshaw, ...I have to stop now... Clinton was president last time I was there. Please just tell me that it has all changed and it sucks now, don't come back. No midnight Parmanti Bros Steak and Egg sanch for you..

The guitar solo is just insane ! I remember hearing this on the Tommy Vance Rock Show, Friday nights and was blown away. Recorded it off the radio onto tape cassette and played it endlessly. I mean that solo is either just a great big mistake (literally like the guy had lost the backing through the cans and did his own thing) or it is just so damn cool to go against the grain like that. The solo in itself stands out very good either way. EEE !! EEE !!
@KirkMeighooChannel5 жыл бұрын
I just learned from the comments above that it is actually a Miles Davis jazz standard written for Charlie Parker called "Donna Lee". It's amazing to learn how those fast, smooth jazz runs went from saxophone to fusion/jazz guitar (especially Holdsworth and, to a lesser extent diMeola and McLaughlin -- who actually used their pick alot so didn't have the legato style of Holdsworth) and then to rock and metal. Eddie Van Halen loved Holdsworth, and I love Chris Poland from Megadeth who also solos like this and puts in awesome insane Jan Hammer-type super-controlled bends.
