Around the time this film was taken, I may have been on the kiddie train that went around Steeplechase. They also had a stair that went up to this wooden box that had "California Red Bats" on it. When you got to the top of the stairs, you saw two red baseball bats inside the box! ☺️

To me the as a child, the old Steeplechase horses were magic. Especially when they turned a corner and seemed to be riding in the sky with the ocean in view. It was magic. At Luna Park there was a beautiful, highly glossed wooden floor. A ride was for a child to slide down that floor which had loops and was on an incline. As I recall the wood was imported from Sweden and was beautiful. Sorry if name icon comes up 2x. Computer glitch.

I'm pretty sure what was left of Luna Park had been demolished by 1958 since it shut down permanently in 1946. I think the Luna Park housing projects were started around 1954/55.
