I'm bout to start balling my eyes out... hearing this music, 1987. I had just turned 16yrs old back then and wish I could rewind the clock. I turn 50 next year (well my girl just told me I'm turning 49 in 2021, I was born in 1971... where did the time go? You young peeps out there don't blink cause you might miss it! Don't let anyone tell you growing old is great and your golden years. Your late teens to 30yrs old is your golden years, you better enjoy every fawkin min of it cause when its gone... it's gone. I'm gonna go have a drink now & go for a stroll thru my amazing memories. I've been very fortunate to have lived such an amazing life thus far. "If I could do it again, you know I'd do it all the same" ~ Corey Smith. That song captured my life as a teenage growing up in Atlanta, Ga. Now a days I'm just thankful every morning I wake up. Nothing beat the 80's, nothing! Thank you so much Nelson for capturing this small window of time, it has allowed so many of your fans to relive a fond memory in their lives! I wish I could have met you in person as we would have been life long friends, maybe I will see you 1 day... I'll check with the Kiosk in Heaven for they will certainly know the man, the legend... Oh fuck, and it just won't stop, what a nightmare, I suffered with them. They definitely got their answer where all the vomit smell came from. Ouch. Anyway, I love all these videos. Nelson's way of filming really makes it feel like I'm with them. And when he speaks into the cam it really feels like he speaks to me. There's so much stuff from the 80s out there but his videos make that decade so real and he pulls you right in. So thankful for all the footage! If Nelson only knew that we'd have internet like this today and that we are watching all his videos. I'm sure he'd be so happy about it. It's so crazy to think about that he had _no idea_ that his videos would land online on KZbin for the world to see, but he filmed it like as if he knew.

New generations will never understand. We were honestly bullet proof in the 80s and 90s. We were the children of parents who came out of the 60’s and 70’s lol. Today a ride like that would probably kill some people. We were so wild and free we could anything. I remember zipper rides exactly like this. The operators were relentless and so were the guests. I feel bad for the young folk today that will never get to experience what we had. Life was greater than words could even describe. My god this video gave me some serious nostalgia. Awesome video that made my heart pitter patter a bit.

This is one of the old school Zippers that ran almost twice as fast as they do now. I think the boom runs 7.5 and the cable runs 4 rpms now and when they were first made in the late 60s they ran the boom at 11 & the cable at 7! Once people started sueing for everything they had to make it less intense.. lame haha
