Nice video. You did a good job of presenting a balanced history of the monument, which is rare these days.

It’s exactly where it should be. It is on southern land.

Very good presentation. Although, I don’t quite understand why reference to a wife saying good by to her husband as “mammy”. There were slaves who fought for the south but very few, some guesstimate 3,000. Patti Hearst carried a machine gun after only a short time of being a captive. And then there’s Theon , game of thrones. The “lost cause” is another form of mis-information spread to incite emotions that have never been silenced. The UDC, in whatever form they are currently in, continue to fight the civil war by influencing generations of southern children to believe in white supremacy. The Federal Government, the Yankees, have never done a good job to change those attitudes. Politicians are no different now than the were 150 years ago. They routinely say what ever their constituents will like. Saying that by placing this monument in Arlington Cemetery it ends ill feelings and is the beginning of the healing process is a prime example. Another example is:”there’s good people on both sides”. Another thought about the monument would be, “how do the Federal descendants feel about having great great granpa buried next to someone who fought to preserve slavery.

False history. Every family has the absolute right to bury and honor their men and women, and their cause. Other people can be damned.
