Great show guys! I'm all for cracking slabs to better appreciate cards but wow that Modano is a very early serial number for PSA. That would make me think twice.

@@hockeycardsgongshow Oh it most likely doesn't matter - but there are a small niche group that prefer older slabs with lower cert #s. I guess I am one of those people, not that I would necessarily pay a premium for an older slab, but it feels more interesting to have some of the first cards graded in PSA slabs. (relative to the amount they do now). There's actually many who say PSA had more relaxed standards back in the early days so you should be more cautious buying any cert # below 2.5. I don't know if that's actually true.

I do not think you got a chance to discuss the retro design on the checklist of : 2007-08 Black Diamond (1:29 packs). Like the original, standard parallels add to the star count with 2 Star (1:43 packs), 3 Star (1:50 packs), and 4 Star (1:200 packs). Ruby versions numbered to 100 also exist as do Emerald Autographs for select players (/10, Rookies /25).

What was the card on the form that Billy needed it to be silver more than the Beehive card? Was the Beehive card the rookie silver and that is why it is not a gold because the golds were on a different form?

1:25:51 you guys briefly spoke on this. But what are your opinions on people selling cards they got an in person auto from? Personally, It’s not something I would do. Feels immoral and sneaky to me. The only time it seems okay to me is if someone hits rock bottom and they’re offloading everything.

In printing, PMS stands for Pantone Matching System. It's a way to ensure that the colors designed on screen match exactly to the color ink used for printing.

PSA is a dying name. TAG Grading is the future. The days of cracking slabs and resubmiting are over. The days of inconsistent grades are over too. TAG grading will be the new King once the hobby wakes up to what they are doing.
