IM 59yrs old, and you are cool in my book. Its true, practice an until it becomes automatic. When I started driving stick shift, I panicked in traffic, and hills. and even parking. I stuck to it, focused and practiced. Now my hand and feet knows. Muscle memory I guess. Ron is right, practice with pictures. I have a ton of memory books. Going back in baby. Thanks!

I'm from South Africa and I remember Mega Memory programs with the tapes
@gojohngo1065 жыл бұрын
I'm about your age. I recall being a kid and watching the TV show "That's Incredible". They had a man on there once who remembered and repeated the names of every single audience member. I was blown away as a kid. Either I'm gifted with a pretty good memory, or that segment made remembering names cool to me. I work in sales and often shock people that I can recall their full names after many years have passed. I try to use pictures in my head to recall things. Say, if I met "Neil Wood" today, I would instantly create a picture in my mind where I am hammering a nail into a piece of wood. I may even see myself hitting my thumb instead and it hurting like a son of a bitch. In any event, when I picture nailing wood, I think of Neil Wood.

How is this for a memory palace: I am driving down highway 172 and at exit 505 there is SpongeBob SquarePants but he sounds like Ron White and he is holding up three placards one for poison gas 6.2 and one for dangerous when wet 4 and one for corrosive 8 for the three subsidiary hazards that must be placarded in addition to the required product placards. This memory highway stuff really works! Thanks SpongeBob I mean Ron White!

CHANGE YOUR MUSIC!!! If It wasn't for your subject, I would have gotten out! And IF your memory looks like your house/room does, it's a pretty big mess. You might have the "memory" stuff down, but I can clearly see you don't have the "mindset" stuff down. And SADLY, if you don't have both, you'll be a very clever poor person... SADLY, most people will learn THAT from you!
