It was my first time experiencing someone like this; just unfortunate I got very close to his children. I mentioned to him that he’s emotionally detached and he answered he had to be. That’s when I walked away.

I dated one. I’ve never experienced it prior to this. He told me he never really let me in because he felt that I was better than him, and eventually I’d leave. I did leave. But because he cheated. Had I not found the videos on my own, I would’ve never known.

I'm realizing only recently that not only was I involved with emotionally unavailable/distant guys, but also that I, too, have been emotionally unavailable/distant. I just broke up with someone like this (also an Aquarius). He messaged me saying he loves and misses everything about me, but while I was trying to be with him it felt like he didn't like me at all. He protected himself from being hurt that he broke every part of me. I feel bad for him, but people like this should NOT date unless they are willing to get therapy.

Interesting when saying being emotionally unavailable to protect oneself but it also prevents the other person from getting hurt...and i read comments of people in relationships with emotionally dead partners....too many.
