Confessions with Koda- cuddles and Cheyenne

Confessions with Koda is a feature where we get to the meat of more difficult topics in fostering rescue animals. Today we discussed rescue cats, Cuddles, and Cheyenne.

It is just so wonderful to see the amount of trust that Cuddles has for you now Debbie. To be able to give her her medication and her meal treat with her giving you very little resistance, speaks volumes as to how far she has come under your care...

Bless you Debbie what a go round. At least Cuddles didn't behave badly. Even though she wasn't in love with it. Poor Mommy Cheyenne. Hopefully she will start to turn around in a little bit. We have a rescue that we adopted years ago that had/has a similar spice level to Cuddles. She is very loving, just has her boundaries

Hi, Cuddles settle down and take your meds and eat your meals! I must say Debbie I absolutely love your approach to Cuddles I was in stitches and I needed this so badly after such a dreadful two weeks. As for Cheyenne I hope she gets well quickly for your sake so no bottle feeding. Love to all you and your family.😊! You are one in a million, up there with Mr A and Dr DJ.

Aww, I could see Cuddles could potentially do some violent maneuvers there if she wanted but instead is just sitting in her soft bed pouting and stubbornly licking the "gross" delicious food, poor cutie. Much love to her and the other mama Cheyanne's swift recovery.

Wow, this is love. Debbie, what is that on the spatula? Just another medicine, I'm sure,, but just looked like .... molasses. Really how lovely Cuddles starts eating properly again. Work up that appetite, Cuddles!

@@davecorry7723 hi Dave and thank you for asking. It is a high nutritional paste and does look a lot like molasses. It has a little bit of an appetite stimulant in it as well so so when we have someone who’s just not wanting to eat, sometimes it can jumpstart them.

@@ASoftPaws Ahhh, interesting. Coming from KA, I don't see this side of things. And of course, the "No Sads" is crucial part of KA; some people watch it precisely and only for that. For many, it's more therapeutic than real-world. There are certainly some cat-channels I would never watch because they are _far too_ real-world. But of course, to each his/her own: many deeply appreciate the trials and successes. But your channel is a nice balance. Real-world, but accessible. Omg, I'm making a complete mess of this: this is all just to say, your work is astounding.

I just wanted to say that I thought considering thet Cuddles was giving you the nasty look that she sure didn’t mind you grabbing her by the scruff to give her her meds and also feeding her too👏🏻👏🏻👍🏻🥰❤️😺. She is an awesome cat and she definitely knows you’re wanting to help her and the way she would look at you as you cleaned the area off and were talking to her too, she was showing you love blinks and also loved that you’re caring for her too and wanting to help her feel better and to heal also. What a huge difference in her since she’s been with you. Kudos to you Debbie and also to Cuddles for allowing you to work with her and her also cooperating with you too. WOW about Cheyanne!!😢🤞🏼🙏😺❤️. I sure do hope she can get through whatever it is for her to feel better. So what I’m getting from you is, she isn’t on nothing cause she is nursing her babies right? But, if she is sick and still nursing her babies, won’t that be bad for her to only get worse? Can’t she do a couple of days dosage of meds and you bottle feed the babies until she is done with antibiotics so she can get better and not end up getting lethargic again and even much sicker to the point of “you know what”? I think you understand hat I’m saying here. She is such a beautiful cat and not only have I fallen in love with our sweet Cuddles but I’ve fallen in love with Cheyenne too and want what is best for Cheyanne too as I also am wanting the best recovery for Cuddles too. You’re such an awesome human being and you’re doing the best you can with both and I know everything will work out for the best and both girls will be back to being their selves.
