Yeah I figured this out a long time ago. Getting rejected by hundreds of women made me literally immune to what they say. That gives me a certain 'confidence' to approach women and say what I want with absolutely no fear.

Dude I want to thank you so much for putting me on this concept. Since I’ve started viewing confidence as just a lack of all my mental barriers, I have felt so much better. It’s a total mindset shift to think “confidence is just my normal state. Anything else is just some weird mental block” and I am feeling awesome. Thank you Kris

I've recently come across your channel but you speak a lot truths and I respect that. It sounds more like indifference than confidence, also confidence comes from "confide" which means "To trust". If you start trusting in yourself and your own abilities you will naturally lose fear, anxiety and doubt.

This is good shit. Just wanted to say that through self improvement I lost 70 lbs. and built lots of muscle. Absolutely love the gym and it is my best hobby. Currently at 6ft 180 from 250. But with that comes the loose skin that is really hard to deal with. Especially when comes to sleeping with women who are attracted to me. I had the surgery on my chest, now I have a massive scar and still a little skin on my abdomen. So I really resonate with that you said about learning to live with something you don’t have control over. Starting to loose my hair too lol. I am only 21 years old so this is something that I need to work on. To learn how to not care. A attitude that goes as such: “This is me, wether you like it or not”

The "Confidence" exist but in different forms. Some people are confident but they have no idea of what are doing, they just fools with confidence. Other people are confident to achivment, if they try different thing, make something change in his life, training some skill they really confident. Man have to belive in themself it doesn't matter of how many time they lose. Because some man compare to other people, but we are different and not everyone learn skill with same speed. One of the fundamental thing is man have to belive in self and reach their potential. Victim mentality and losses is not excuse for them. Of course out life depend of many factors, but raight mindset is the true and belive in out skills and body. P.S. Sorry for my english , great video !!!

I'm 29 now. Felt like I didn't do much during most of my 20s. Wasted most of it with drinking and chasing after girls. Always been a people pleaser and if I'm being honest a bit of a pussy in the sense that I went along for things I didn't necessarily believe in but was afraid of being made out to be different from what was expected. Been put down a lot for being quiet and taking shit I didn't have to even though I knew I had a lot to offer and had trust in latent abilities. Put up with it. But over the last couple of years this feeling of having had enough has been reaching a crescendo and right now I don't care about anything except owning my shit and knowing my strengths for what they are and how I'm doing or just wanting to do so much more than what others are and not going to go through life without doing the things I want. Being on my own journey. I absolutely HATE doing things just because someone at some point in time decided it was expected. Fuck that. Fuck the crowd. I got a couple of tattoos when I was younger; one that says 'Phillipians 4:13' and the other being a Delphic saying 'Know Thyself'. I just thought it sounded cool at the time. I thought I'd have to get them removed at some point in my life when I became wiser. Now that I'm wiser I'm glad I got those exact ones, they're exactly what I need and they mean more now than they ever did. That sense of knowing yourself gives you more confidence than anything else and once it hits you, it's something no one can take away from you.

Confidence is believing in yourself. Confidence is very real. If you are a weak, unprepared, not knowing how to fight you may get scared. But, even if you start lifting or have your first class/session of any martial arts you'll mindset will most probably change and you'll start feeling a lot more confidence. If you are practicing some sort of martial arts, you'll start seeing through a person's physique. You'll know that you can defend yourself, thus have CONFIDENCE. So yes, yes I believe confidence can be achieved. If you are student, you may have felt fear before a viva or an exam or a test if you haven't studied properly. But once you have studied properly, you'll achieve confidence to face the exam or viva.

Whilst I agree with the explanation on confidence, I worry that this perspective, which seems to be ascetic and stoic doesn't work for you IF results are what matters to you. It would seem we have drives/desires which fuel action and get results. E.g. desire for junk food leads to weight gain or desire for living optimally leads to a growth mindset. This non-chalant, it is what it is, IDGAF attitude seems cool and laidback on the surface to me looks like a rejection of your drives and downplaying/suppressing of your inner thoughts/impulses. What would life be like if you could connect to the "confidence within" and be OKAY with the mutltitude of positive or negative emotions that we experience in life. Really interested to hear your feedback, and I hope you don't mind my tone. I acknowledge the value you have shared and am challenging you because I think you make really strong points. -Phil
@cassidy3183 жыл бұрын
I think it has more to do with being outcome independent. Basically taking either positive or negative criticism for what its worth without it having an effect that rewrites your intrinsic value system. Ex. Someone that gains value from drawing probably couldn’t care less what someone else thinks about their algebra solving abilities…if this makes sense

In my opinion confidence is derived from two things. 1. Experience in particular field, Thats why for example attractive guys are confident, because they experience positive reaction from women. 2. Psychological - the level of neuroticism that makes you care more or less about being accepted. Arogance is when you have no achievements or experience to back it up. Thats why girls like confidence and not arrogance. They like a man that is capable, not a self obsessed jerk. You ramble a lot without clearly stating a point, a lot of examples without any clear points

I kinda Disagree. I think confidence does exist but I think real confidence is when you can trust in & rely on skills & abilities. Lot of people's understanding of confidence nowadays has been impacted by the self-esteem movement of the 1970s. So instead of people assuming confidence is "knowing you can trust in or rely on a skillset or inability", people think confidence means "thinking highly of yourself"... that's literally not what it means lol. I do however disagree with your notion that confidence is simply "lack of fear"). I think it was less about the lack of fear and more about the trust. For example, someone who knows that they fit the socially constructed concept of beauty can trust in and rely on their ability to attract suitors.
