It took me a while to see it, but the FORCE of a single-mother/baby mama was STRONG in my Ex. We often clashed in areas that are flat out embarrassing. When she’d run out of excuses for mistreating me, her fall back would be, “well that’s how I was raised….we don’t respect what men say.” Thing is, she knew as well as I did, that my upbringing was 10000x harder than hers. Her upbringing was focused on emotions and feeling some kind of way. The upbringing that me and my little brother experienced was basically that of an inner-city kid whose mama was on crack. Throw in homeless shelters, multiple evictions, 7 or 8 foster homes, 13 different schools and every form of abuse that you can imagine, and we were a recipe for disaster. Yet I chose to never put my hands on her and the kids. I don’t tease and I don’t call people names. I ain’t perfect, but I try to do what’s right by people. When I reminded her of my upbringing and how I never used my upbringing as an excuse to abuse her, she’d try to hit me wit the Okie Doke and be like everybody different. FOHWTBS. We will be going to court soon. I’m just looking forward to her explaining to a judge how I deserved to be hit in the face, repeatedly, because of her childhood experiences. Or why I needed to suffer because she was in her feelings. Deadass, these are documented things she said and did. I’m a disabled veteran with 100% disability and one of my diagnoses is actually PTSD…..never touched her or the kids. This Braud diagnosed herself with PTSD and used as an excuse to embezzle tens of thousands of dollars out of our joint account over years.
