Thank you! I've only created websites from scratch and have hosted on S3 buckets, creating certificates on AWS. Really Simple SSL was killing me since I'm a wordpress noob and everytime I fulfilled one of their tasks another would say it was incomplete, this was so easy. My version of bitnami doesn't have the helper-tool but you can just navigate straight to the configuration tool. Again, THANK YOU!

If you followed this tutorial, the SSL will auto renew through let’s encrypt every 90 days automatically. No need to manually renew. If it was self installed, it will be much more involved and outside scope of this tutorial. Best of luck!

I am wondering, since I am using the Wordpress instance as a headless cms, so I don't mind to stay with the default static ip that Bitnami let me to create, do you know if there is a way still to create a ssl certificate? I mean, without assigning a custom domain...

Any suggestions for an alternative to Let's Encrypt? I'm F%@$ing done with trying to get it to auto renew. Didn't work before when they used certbot. Switched to lego and still fails due to TXT record not updating. I just want to use a certificate generated in AWS, not this 90 day BS.

Thanks for the comment! Using the instructions outlined in the video, the bitnami stack will auto renew the SSL directly through the instance configuration. The cron will renew the certificate without issues. I’ve never had an issue with the auto renew process.

I’ve never seen this before. The SSL process defined by bitnami is pretty fail proof. Do you have a screenshot you can post somewhere?
