One of the problems I had with my mofi is that I had to change a numeral in my IP router (repeater) address so it did not match the SSID signal router I was trying to repeat. Great information. Hello, i followed all of these rules but i really couldnt understand them well, my router is a Tenda and its been factory reset, i want to use it as a repeater and my main router is a Huawei and it used Vodafone Fibre, i dont have any long Ethernet cables in my house but i have short ones to connect to my laptop and stuff. Is there a chance if i make all of these configurations then remove all the lan cables then put my router somewhere else in my house that it will work?

Just to be clear, because there are many "terminologies" . Your extender has a "media adapter" feature. The difference between that and the repeater is that the repeater is wifi only. (full discloser, I didn't watch the rest of the video) so with regular routers, can't go line - wifi - wifi - line. Correct?

Good Video👋connect another router to main router wirelessly👋 But ISP will provide their own branded routers. In My case: Jio Fiber ISP router and D-Link (DIR-816 Dual Band) as repeater connected wirelessly fine but when power fails (no UPS) @ My Jio Fiber router side, when it's restart, all my configuration gone. Again I need to reconfigure all the time when power fails @ ISP side. Where as power fails at D-Link side nothing will happen and automatically connecting. Any solution for Power failure @ ISP router side (no UPS) Let me know any solution (Please Don't say UPS at main Jio router) if your main router switch OFF/ON, will it reconnect automatically?🤝

Perhaps you should try running ipconfig in a the command prompt. In your search bar, type cmd, click to run it. Then type ipconfig, press the Enter key. Check the Ip displayed

Hi Torogi Pro, I upgrade my router. My new router is now working and its better that the old one. But the problem is, my old router has a “phone” port where our landline was connected and the port is the small one, I think its RJ 11 and not an ethernet cable. And I still want to use our landline because we are still paying subscription and my mom and dad are still calling on that landline. My new router does not have that “phone 1”, “phone 2” ports at the back. It only has the 4 ethernet port and the WAN or Internet Port where the modem of internet service provider and that’s is. I want to use the old router as and extender/repeater and also to connect the phone landline. My question is, will the landline still work when I hook up the landline to the “phone” port of the old router after I configure it as an extender/repeater? By the way, our internet was previously a DSL when that router with “phone” port was bought. And the subscription includes phone landline that’s why the router has phone port. And then we upgrade to fibre optic without upgrading the router. The phone line still works. I tried to configure the old router to use as repeater and also hook the landline but no access. It would be very much appreciated if you could please teach me what to do. Thanks.

It is always best to have it wired bro. Wired is faster than wireless connection. However, If you have difficulty in wiring both routers-wireless is easy to setup.
