I just bought this yesterday after seeing all the positive reviews. I am fascinated by armoured combat and this seems like an amazing way to dive deep. Cannot wait for a game or three over some beers!

I saw 3rd edition AtB at my FLAGS, but really didn't want to buy the same title for a third time. I have SoS 3rd edition. I read online that AtB 3rd edition has changed from 2nd edition. I've heard the 3rd edition rules can be played with the prior 2nd edition games AtB & Guadalcanal. Do you have any info regarding this? I know your vid is for SoS, but I'm wondering what are the differences between AtB 2nd & 3rd editions? Great vid as usual! 👍👍

3rd edition rules now change things up to where units must roll a weighted d10 to determine if they are spent or not. No more tracking and using action points for that, instead you can push your troops as hard as you'd like while risking them to be spent early or maybe they can be pushed to the limit. Troops will get stressed, which costs you more action points to use. Management is now simplified and the game seems to move quicker, a good step for the CoH series IMO. You can download the latest rules and charts etc for use with your existing CoH game. It's not necessary to buy the latest edition to have them! :) www.academygames.com/pages/atb

@@robertmoffitt1336 If you have SoS3, then you have the Spent dice that you need to also play AtB with the 3rd Ed rules. You can also use the Tracking sheets for both games, since all are the same for both 3rd Ed games! :)

@@uweeickert8061 Wow! Uwe...wow...Thanks A Lot! I was hoping that I could use the SoS stuff with AtB & Canal. I saw and read though that there are some minor differences between AtB 2nd & 3rd. If it's just stupid to buy AtB 3rd, then I won't, but I'm leaning toward buying it if there are enough differences and reasons to make it worth while. (?)

France 1940 is in the final stages of design and layout. We will be releasing this for pre-order in late fall and plan on shipping for Origins. After this we are working on Airborne D-Day. :)
