Unlike Vader, Ben was just a boy. He never had the chance the marinate in the dark side as Vader did. It’s make his story more interested. It’s almost as if Anakin never lost on Mustafar

I feel like kylo/ben was the only good character in the sequels he had a pretty good backstory a cool lightsaber with a cracked kyber Krystal and vents and the grandson of the chosen one.The only thing I didn't like is HOW IN THE WORLD DID HE LOSE TO RAY WHO HAS NEVER HELD A LIGHTSABER IN HER LIFE

I think it had to do with a combination of things. The major one being he was hurt, remember Chewie shooting him in the side? But then he was also VERY conflicted. While he thought that killing his father would strengthen him, which it did, but only for a short moment. The whole point of Kylo Ren is that he’s conflicted, there was always a bit of light in him, Ben Solo was always a part of him wether he liked it or not. So after killing his father he was also weakened in the Force too because he was so unbalanced and probably way more emotional on the inside than he let on. But yeah, I get what you’re saying tho. But that’s just what I’ve heard and my own speculation.

Also, Rey was herself strong in the force. Untrained but when Kylo Ren breeched her mind when he was looking for the map, Rey's and Kylo's dyad connection, (which they didn't know about at that time) allowed her to basically download a lot of his knowledge of how the force worked and probably let her access his fighting skills. The two that were one.
