Very touching how you and Gavin are so overcome at finally reuniting, you should thank Roy for facilitating this moving meetup... Before half of your audience book now for Arran, they should know the relatively cheap ferry service is relatively unreliable and liable to be cancelled at a moment's notice, usually because CalMac regard anything stronger than an invigorating breeze as a danger to life, property and their ancient vessels. Ardrossan port also suffers breakdowns with the ancient roll-on/roll-off ramps. It's also likely to be one of the cheapest bits of any stay on Arran - accomodation can be expensive and, like the ferry, difficult to secure at busy times. Book well ahead! Once you get there though, it's a great place! And if you're taking a campervan, don't take shortcuts when disposing of the waste tank contents, you will get into trouble. Seriously, the locals are properly annoyed with this.

Pure class with the start and kudos to Gavin's step-dad for taking part. Love Arran and always looked forward to my time over there when visiting the firefighters when I was in charge of the area. If your schedule ever allows it Thomas, you should go right down the Mull of Kintyre and shoot back over to Arran as its a beautiful island to capture both on the island itself and from the mainland

Hilarious, and the outtakes at the end even better. 🤣. Nice start to another road trip too! BTW the audio was a bit weird around @5:10 onwards - the shot in the van. In headphones felt like it was swapping left to right. Was that the 360 camera being temperamental?

I used to live on the Ayrshire coast and my house looked over the sea to Arran and Ailsa Craig. When the sun set begind Arran with nice clouds above, it was just epic. Lovely island. I now live in the Highlands which has its own amazing scenery but i need to plan a trip back down to Arran some day.

Great video as always - and I found your section of the video about the weather forecast particularly interesting. I've been trying to use my weather forecast app to help figure when to go shoot, but rather unsuccessfully. I would love a more detailed explanation of how you use the weather forecast, what you look out for, what particular conditions to know about (say, to predict misty/foggy conditions)! In any case - thanks for the uploads 🙂
