Shirley mad she sober lol. She so mean. My mom used to tell me and my sisters that if she “know what I know now, I would of had all boys”. Mind you I was a straight A student who never got on trouble but also never got any praise from her. Matter of fact I never got any validation from my family. Now I’m hyper vigilante with my daughter. As I got older I saw how my mom was raised and understood she was doing what she was taught. My baby 15, very smart, don’t get in trouble and she’s loving and caring. We’ve disagreed but I take time out to not say or do anything I’ll regret. Shirley wasn’t loved properly, you can tell.

I'm gonna need parents to stop saying "they never went without..." as if that is applaudable and makes them a great parent. That makes you a good parent but thats the bare minimum that you need to do for the children YOU brought into the world. Everyone has to eat , everyone has to drink water thats the basics of keeping yourself alive. What did you do past that? because essentially all they are saying is "I kept them alive so I deserve praise". She made it alive does it mean that her life was good? So good and relevant in the world today. It's just a shame that schools can't be better equipped to support somebody emotionally during their young adolescent life. Not necessarily transgender or gay or lesbian but other factors too like I was bullied because I am bigger woman. After years of name calling and relationships where I was mentally and emotionally abused it's still hard for me to take a compliment from somebody. So I understand where she's coming from in that way too.
