I'm almost 42 years in....one Ancestry kit and one 23 and me kit later, I've been able to find out who my mother's father was...but I'm only matching 1st cousins once removed....it's like the closer I get the less ppl interact with me. My mom passed 8 years ago (Oct 18) and my 42nd bday is Oct 23 and all I want is to know where/who I come from...hoping for the same closure soon.

Update: A 3rd cousin from Ancestry was able to connect some dots and I met the man who may be my father, yesterday! While he says he REALLY knew my mom and we share similar features, he needs that 99.9% proof so I reached out to Karamo's show today...we could wait out ordering the test kit and wait a month for the results but I'd rather not wait that long, after almost 42years

Yep! Right along with all the other tests that’s performed on newborns. Idc about the mom feelings ! Fathers DESERVE to have a guarantee just like the mom and her side of the family. And ESPECIALLY before the dad signs the birth certificate, essentially binding him to that child. -Im married (20yrs) w/4 children & if my husband EVER wants to test he knows …I’ll pay for it !

I was treated poorly as a child by my father’s family. They didn’t believe I was his because I was dark complexed. They would leave me and take my sister. I met my father at the age of 6 he was in jail. Met him again at 11. When I was a teenager he was abusive. Verbally abusive to my mom. He passed in 2020. I was there, Listening to people lie. I love him from a distance. Not like daddy daughter love but Christ love. I forgive him, but I must say it’s not my fault he was an a hole. It can bother you because you feel like a piece of yourself is not there. He now sits in an urn on my porch to scare the cats away 😂😂 . I am blessed with an amazing husband who understands me and our 7 amazing children ❤️❤️
