Hello dear fam 💜, Mom and I are wonderfully overwhelmed by the heartwarming responses to us sharing our story. Thank you so much. While I'm unable to reply every comment, dm, and email but trust us, we read every one. Our hope is that through this video, you'll find the courage to look inward, embrace what's there, and give you the courage to walk away from anything you need to. We don't need to be defined by our mistakes. We love you and you're not alone!

Shalom! Watched your vid this early morning from Kuala Lumpur and my tears flowed at such raw, sincere words from two genuine hearts, Aiken and Mum Ros, both just so precious at wanting to do the best after walking out of a painful experience. It made me see that making a conscious decision of walking out of a dark period and walking into the next phase for our own sakes and worth are what makes us, the good bits so overlooked now all come to the front and that's what touches my heart most. Because it's this period of walking alone with our innocent children in tow. When Aiken talked about how he used to watch his mum from far, and memorized every turn and direction his mum walked, and the time when Mum Ros had to go for a caesarian all alone, I wept!!! I could go on and on but I'll stop here and say that your testimony is to the Glory of God alone and how He alone can turn our pain into joy again is so evident. I recognize so much of us in both of you, tho I was the wife abandoned with three small children. Looking back I see how merciful God was to keep coming through for my children and me. So many life lessons to be honed and learned yet ever faithful, is Our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. No one is turned away who comes to Him. God bless you both always. With hugs and love.

So lovely of your mother to be willing to share her story with us - I’ve recently learnt about what my parent(s) went through in their lives I understand them much better now that they have started to open up and share too. It’s been very therapeutic allowing for much emotional healing. Speaking from the heart (Reminds me of some ancient words : “My say is the sincere expression of my heart and my lips utter the best of their knowledge “ - Job33:3) applying this has improved our relationship☺️) Thank you for sharing 🌹 Much appreciated They did their best You have a beautiful and humble mum 🌹

You are very fortunate to have such an amazing mum. I am born a illegitimate child, my dad was never divorced and lived with my mum. I was never being loved by my parents. Since 15yrs old I worked part time to earn my own pocket money, and at 18yrs old I had to help pay rental and household bills for me and my mum. My mum till today is only in favor with me cos I pay bills and supported her. I am envious of how open you and ur mum can talk to each other. This is something I can never have cos my mum will only talk about money or something she want. I suffered from severe trauma becos of my past and my mum but I never give up in giving love to my own family.

Wait a minute... You only heard one side of the story and you think she has zero responsibility by participating KNOWINGLY in a man's extra-marital affair? What has the world come to? There's a difference between forgiving yourself for your mistakes and externalising for every decision you've made (i.e. it was not my fault, I was gaslit, it was him, it was his wife, it was his children). I don't think Auntie is trying to run away from her responsibilities, so why are you being such an apologist, and trying to absolve her of any real accountability? I truly am very very happy for Auntie for having accepted and forgiven herself. But if you were to ask me, or her for that matter, I'd still think she made a mistake. Like Aiken said, does it define her? No. But did she make a mistake? Yes. So please, don't be a revisionist.
@anonymoususer803911 ай бұрын
You only heard one side of the story and alr start pointing out the aunty's mistake but didn't think that the guy should be held the MOST accountable? To compare a 18 year old woman and a 30+ man, YOU should blame the guy for being a fucking coward and not the other way round @@lubis1991

i feel so deeply for your mom, aiken. she’s done nothing but give her love and her money without asking for much in return. as much as reciprocal relationships are ‘endorsed’ as the proper way to live in our society, there is a ridiculously disproportionate burden of shame that is placed on emotionally/financially vulnerable women who fall into the wrong situations. of course she made a mistake but she was so young, so lost - he had so many resources at his disposal and gave her the illusion of stability and unconditional love. all in all, i think she’s incredibly strong and so beautiful inside and out. i’m sorry she grew up in an era where she felt like she had to suffer through it all in silence, but now here we are. be a good son yes! ❤️ thank you for sharing your story.

Interesting that I as someone whom has been indirectly part of the family didn't know these details. There's absolutely nothing to be ashamed of Auntie Ros, we each have our own struggles and stories. Happy to see you and Aiken doing well. Here's a Happy CNY in advance, I've probably haven't said that to you in at least 20 years. Cheers!

Aiken and Rose, this is an incredibly touching and moving conversation and story. Thank you so much, mother and son, for sharing it with the world. You are so courageous to share this “closet” and taboo topic. Best of all, you came out sincere and authentic, and honouring to each other! I thought of your amazing story as one of vulnerabilty exploited - causing guilt and shame - and now redeeming your rightful pride and honour by allowing yourselves to be vulnerable, standing up to fear, and receiving love in return. It is so wonderfully clear that with Love, you have turned your pain into healing of self and others! What a beautiful story also of the embracing and secure love of Our Father that is unconditional and everpresent in the absence of an inately needed human father’s love. May you always find the joy of doing what you do - spreading Love - and see lives transformed through the work you both do individually! 😊

Thank you for your share. It is truly meaningful. Aiken also summarized so well, that his dad was unguided by the feelings he harbored and unsure of his actions that he should have been wise enough to make the right decisions for himself (divorce, consider custody, only officiate with her or realize the true issue in his marriage and try to resolve it for a term and thank aunty for her friendship and bringing back the colours he lost in his life) due to absence of parental guidance and support. Auntie is only 18 when all these happened and society is multifaceted that requires experience to navigate. She also had a painful experience of losing her caring mother. She has a kind soul with so much guilt inside that doesn't fully belongs to her at such a young age. In modern day, the wife should have attended coupling counseling with her husband or give him an ultimatum instead of controlling things to her direction (especially the part where she just ask him to return home - that reflects what dynamics they had that lead to the husband being unhappy - she's the one refuse to let go for fear of the unknown and her own insecurity rather than resolving as a team in the marriage). You don't need to shame or cane another adult (a sit down talk would have given an evaluation for her to consider to work with her husband or divorce). Aunty also made a decisive decision to bring you up herself, I think that speaks volume of her character and strength. Aiken’s Emcee skills could at least bring a lesson that we are truly not defined by our past decisions and can live a better life. Not saying this cause you're a public figure but rather that's the fair way to deal with this kind of situation. Aunty gave good advice, just walk away let them resolve it themselves than being pulled into it. If he cannot figure it out on his own, there's no point to build a future with this kind of uncertainty.

Thank you Aiken for doing this & thank you Aunty Ros for being so bold to share and own to what she did. But her story is really proof that our bad decisions are not final. We can embrace the past and look forward and find peace with whatever has gone by. 🙆🏻♀️

Watching this video has made me cry, as I understand exactly how Ros felt back then and what she has been through. She has done a great job in nurturing and bringing up Aiken so well. I wish that I will be able to do the same for my daughter. And like Ros, my biggest wish is for my girl to walk closely with God and be obedient to Him.

Hopefully your story helps other young women in a similar situation. It was brave of you to share. You are right, this type of situation doesn't benefit anyone. Aiken, though you were born in such circumstances it is good you are communicating with your dad too. In life sometimes we just have to accept certain things that happened and be thankful for what we have.
