Hey Guys Sorry for the late post, I have a lot of videos coming up is all i can say. Me and my brother were out for a leisure ride when we notice the familiar bike that was stolen from me two years ago. This bike was my first two stroke and i saved up so much money to put parts into it before it was stolen. Enjoy the video. This guy did not end up stealing bike he payed a good amount for it.

Little tip. Put stickers with your name, adress and number on them multiple places inside the bike instead of outside. If it gets stolen and you see a bike that looks like yours, check some of the spots on the inside you put stickers on to be 100% sure :)

Yep he technically stole it twice the year prior was the first time, and then once they confronted him was the 2nd... because if someone comes up to you and claims that you have something that belongs to them and they think you stole it....you don't go run and hide in the woods for hours. You'd be like let's call the cops and get this straightened out....he ran and hid because he knows that they know he or one of his buddies stole it and he figured he would wait them out and then load it up and drive away.

Just because some random person says hey that’s my bike doesn’t make it their bike. People that steal bikes aren’t out riding in public places wearing gear. They’re generally selling them fast or popping wheelies on a busy street. They also don’t take care of the bikes. This kid or his parents bought the bike without a title and lost their money. Lesson learned on all fronts

Yeah, but if they were wrong that could cause a scene. Not sure you would really get in trouble for detaining him but it might be bad. His truck was there, I would have just blocked him in, call a buddy down and pull up on the front, move the ramp and pull up on the rear and wait for him to come back. Or then send a rider out to look for him...and let him know he will not be leaving as his truck is blocked in so either be a man and come back and lets check with the cops if it's the right bike or have it cleared and everyone can go on their way. I think the guy is a pussy for not manning up and staying....and probably knew there was a high chance it was stolen.

I actually heard my bike being ridden a mile and a half away from me,I recognised the sound straight away!:-) Jumped in my car,went up there,hid behind a bush and pounced on the bastard.He split his leg wide open,so while he was lying in a heap I rode it home with the bike covered in his blood and my misses drive the car back. This bastard one day beforehand just randomly stopped in my street and spoke to me when I was cleaning it after my first ride of it,prick!

Actually be smart if you are the thief to make a fact receipt and claim you bought it from Joe Blow for $1,500...that way you don't get in trouble and the seller is long gone or was never there to begin with. It's why I have insurance, that way if I saw my stolen bike it's the insurance problem and not mine....as they paid me out.

Nice job, you guys handled it the right way. got my bike stolen in high school, was the worst feeling i ever had waking up from camping and the bike was gone. cops caught a kid riding it on the street 4 years later when i was in college. When i got it back it was in about the same condition as when i lost it and i sold it to a friend. Kid who bought it from the thief didn't get any money back. Moral of the story, do not buy a bike without a title, period.

I had my bicycle stolen, fixed and returned. On an island heading to the ferry, hit a deep pot hole at good speed, front BOOM back BOOM...two flats down a hilly road. Held it steady and slowed down & stopped. Left the bike on the bike rack at ferry. Returned later that day and found bike was gone. Called a two bike shops and sure enough, it was there being repaired. It was finished. Told the store to call the guy & tell him bike was ready. Guy said he was on his way. My roommate was a cop so I called him as well & he came down out of uniform. Waited around 20 mins when guy showed up. He went in, paid for repairs, wheeled bicycle outside and my roommate then proceeded to ruin his day...sort of. Flashed his badge, explained the bike was stolen and gave him an option, walk away and call it even or be arrested for possession of stolen property. He walked. My bike got two flats repaired and the tire trued (straightened) while I was off island - and it cost me nothing!! PLM Police Lives Matter

I had a similar experience with a stolen mountain bike. It wasn't at all standard, basically a bike cobbled together with non-standard parts. I explained to the (cough) 'lady' who had the bike, that the bike had been stolen two weeks before. She then claimed she bought the bike a month ago, so it wasn't my bike. As soon as she said that I knew she was lying. To cut a long story short the Police didn't prosecute her because her new story was that she had 'borrowed the bike'. She couldn't tell the Police who she had borrowed the bike from for 'fear or repercussions'.

Call me crazy but can't this dude sue you for defamation of character by you calling him a bike thief when you said he actually didn't steal the bike? (For views or not. That's still messed up to label him as that.)You may want to be more careful and possibly change the title man. Just looking out.

I could agree to a certain point with you . Hear me out. Think about this. You're at a huge gathering. 1,000 people plus. Somehow you manage to spot your mom from 20 yards away. (Even though she's in front of with only her rear features showing) why is this? Because you have known her for so long that you recognize all of her features ,even though you can't see her face. Well, the same goes for this poor gentleman who is being falsely accused and attacked as a bike thief (which is a felony) when in reality he never even stolen the bike. Yes I understand that At the very end of the video . He clearly states that this falsely accused man didn't steal the bike. Okay well if he didn't steal the bike, why pronounce him as he did in the title.(main answer, views. Money)Understand where I'm coming from. Now going back to the whole recognition thing. People who he grow up with him would recognize his features(height, weight, size, build) and instantly knows it's him and already from seeing the title have it implanted in their brains that this poor falsely accused gentleman is a 'tool.' Idk if you ask me. I think this case would have a good stance in the court of lawyer. But by no means am I a lawyer. Just a philosophical thinker.
@jth_printed_designs
@jth_printed_designs 7 жыл бұрын
+Billy Baker Yea, but he covered up in gear. And like you said, he clearly stated in the video that the guy didn't steal the bike. You would have to watch the video to positively identify that person, and in the video he never called the guy a thief. A defamation case could not be won on the title alone.
@TaenXD
@TaenXD 7 жыл бұрын
+Jordan Hillard is right he would have no case, plus nobody would do that and if he did he could not win because he bought something that he didn't own (aka a titleless bike) so he'd still be at fault.

I had a leisurely stroll one day with my kids and noticed a bike, and i knew it was his because he took a fall on it and there was a scratch on it that resemble a claw mark similar to his. 100% to identical, I followed the guy to his residency, and reported it. I called my friend and told the address and he got there the same time as the cops, and sure enough, it was his. But It sucks for people that deal with this shit.

possibly, but when you do have all that info its definately easier to track the stolen property further back to possibly the original thief.

Unless you fucking make buddy pull out his license, he could put fake names, and numbers on a bill of sale.

I had a RM125 99 model stolen from my garage. 5 years later, got a call from the police saying that they caught someone riding it, checked the vin number and it came up stolen. They said come down to the compound and pick it up, so drove 3 hrs to pick it up thinking it was going to be a piece of shit but.... To my amazement the bike didn't have a scratch on it, only difference was the back tyre was bald and they changed the bars. It was a amazing, walked in to the workshop and it was just leaning against the wall, like I had miss placed it for 5 years. Also had another bike the same(my brothers bike) Still not been found. The guy gave all the details where he bought it and the cops did fuck all about it

There is a lesson to be learned from this video about private sales and that is to always make sure that the seller actually owns or is authorized to sell what is being sold. Stolen property remains stolen property no matter how many times it changes hands. If you are caught with stolen property, you could be prosecuted and rightfully so. There is no defense other than a valid title or receipt. For any private sale item, always exercise due diligence before buying.
