I agree with you. The concept is very cool and looks very unique but I would never destroy a beautiful Dyno classic freestyle frame to make that.

Its a 86 Dyno comp because it has 2 plates behind the seat tube and framestand. 85's have 2 plates instead of 2 on the framestand. The front has the flat spots so the wheel cant fly off as easy if it comes off for safety. The bars look like haro bars but painted white. Dam shame he's missing the Epoch cap,unless it had the racing one that dont work with the gyro and he took it off. After seing the rest of the vid to the end WHAT!!! The title says it all.😂😂 Its still kinda cool.
@ShadLife2 жыл бұрын
Those are definitely not Haro bars. They do look like GT bars but keep in mind, that there were and still are a lot of knock-offs of that GT bar design.

@DJTodda2 жыл бұрын
The front axel has that slot for safety, so that the wheel doesn’t pop out or loosen while doing tricks. They also made safety washers that you insert into the fork, in the old/mid school freestyle BMXs to also prevent this.

I respect that build bro. It would be cool to have two classics in tact if possible but you have to agree there has to be no other like this in the world. What bicycle enthusiast in their right mind would refuse to ride or own a bike like this? I think it’s awesome!!! Great job! If u want an original restoration then build it but if u want an original masterpiece that’s out of this world that matches you and your lifestyle then build that too. Go for it. I love it!!!!! It’s all in what u love and what puts the biggest smile on your face. What everyone else thinks doesn’t matter. I wish I still had my 92 or 93 Dyno GT I don’t remember exactly what year it was. 🤦🏻. Boy do I feel stupid now for getting rid of it as a teenager. I traded it for an rc car. What a dummy I was. I was just ab to get my drivers license so I wasn’t worried about a bike. But if I knew then what I know now I would have definitely held onto it since that bike slept indoors with me. It never slept outside or in the garage. It was almost mint and I wish I would’ve kept it. I will definitely try to buy another one day if I can find one for the right price.

😁😁. Traded my custom mongoose californian (chrome) in with sealed bearing 48 spokes, haro front fork with screw in pegs, laid back post for a rc10L with 2 motors. Mid 90's wave. Lol. Enjoy all the old school 80's & 90's bmw. 🤘🏼

Repacking bearings it's where it started for me, most of the times it would be replacing ball bearings and cups or the nuts that sit on the spheres, as I was into mountain biking and still am rear hubs where always a liability, from time to time I would have to get in there and do this, I watch your content I wonder what is the story of that green Santa Cruz you have hanging is it a v10? I also do fork and shock absorber maintenance, You really show cool stuff, but yeah I agree with you kind of a sacrilege to do this with 2 bikes...

front and rear are designed for different axle sizes - rear is 10mm and front dropout s are designed for 3/8 or 9.5 in mm but in some cases manufacturers put 10mm front and rear (probably easier and cheaper to buy a tonne of 10mm axles in bulk) so the edge/side of the axle needs grinding down to fit in the front! same things with older cheaper road town bikes/fixies/ track bikes- 26 and 27inch wheels.

If it was two broken frames and brought back to life as a tandem, then that’s cool. Also when was it made a tandem? Back in the day when these frames were plentiful and a dime a dozen? To make that now with two perfectly good frames then nahh. Depleting history as these frames are getting harder to find.
