Dear Tian Wei. I also visited the birth place of Confucius and participated in a full formal Confucian ceremony grand style at his house. As far as I am concerned The CCP is to all practical purposes the Chinese Confusian Party advocating all the best of confucianism which has great support and understanding in the Chinese population for the benefit of all.

I have read a number of Daniel's books including 'China's New Confucianism' which I really enjoyed. I was however most impressed with his book 'The China Model' which certainly had a profound effect on my way of viewing China. I look forward to his next publication. As a foreigner living in China, I also enjoy programs hosted by Tian Wei on CGTN.

Dear Tian Wei, Legalism in China was of very short dominance. Extremely short in Chinese history. An absolute regigme of suppression and exploitation which essentially was unacceptable to the Chinese people. Throughout Chinese history you could only rule, if you had the Mandate of Heaven. The real meaning of the Mandate of Heaven is the voice of the people. This is true today as well. As such, Chinese society is basically what is called democracy. The Chinese government listen to the people. Unlike the West.

Filial piety is one of the major principle of Confuicism. The youngs (kids) were taught to respect the elders, especially their parent and grand parent (including their uncles, aunties, elder bros/sis and their masters/teachers etc etc )from an early age. Uptill today majority of Chinese still adhere to such teachings. This is the core reason why we seldom came across homeless elders in China, most of them (elders) are taken care by their children or nephews. Even in big cities like Shanghai, Beijing, Chendu ... etc etc .. where its city population exceed 15 millions but you hardly see one homeless elders .... it is due to the teaching of Confuicism, the filial piety and unlike US, in every major towns and cities ... especially in cities, you will come across thousand of homeless and druggie in broad daylight ... why is that so? Why is there a vast differences in both continents. Its all about teachings (including of the country's rule of law) and her culture. By the way, I always doubt whether is there a culture in US ?

I think Confucianism focus more on individual moral cultivation and self responsibility to ensure peace, order and justice in society. There won't be much need for outside punishment etc if people are responsible and self critical. There is very good and real understanding of personal freedoms. Individual doesn't demand freedoms from outside. Freedom is felt and enjoyed and as a result of appropriate behaviors from members of society. Thus a harmonious society automatically ensure freedoms for its individuals. It doesn't have to be demanded. It's a natural gift from this ideal system just as air, water, sunshine etc are free for mankind. Freedom is thus of nature not legal.

Confucius was capable of conscious thought and the people of his day were not like many of the people today, that is why what he said was not accepted until long after his death. I spoke with a Jewish friend of mine and the ancient teaching of his faith and I ask him to you believe this and he said "the parts I like" from this simple statement you can understand how people think. They are not paying attention rather they only hears their own thinking; remember " a man you chases two rabbits catches none."

Oh yezzzzzz fans, you can bet on it, the very perfect lifestyle above all, Autumn season is a harvest one...l did my best to provide, doing the groceries and follow the Confucius best advices, enjoying food as Holy Blessing..then meditation and heavenly gardening nearby...if not that our biggest problem is..any other individual on this planet that is not capable to share the same feeling, some people is so envious, unfit to cope with the others happiness, they just can not bear it, they are like..burning in hell before time, eating their nails of envy. If we could bring a Confucius heavenly garden every single village on this planet...there would be welfare, respectable lifestyle for anyone and happiness without ... watching neighbors in jealousy...yeah, there's a lot to work for you guys, just willing to teach the ...good manners

Exploring the Universe is very exciting, but most people forget, we hold another Universe within, trying to get curious about various religion suggestion, each one is offering us .. another star to be explored in the Universe. Confucius teach us to be good kind of humans, Buddha is asking us to push limits beyond and discover the Holy nature, the divine, beyond human nature, becoming Gods. The point is always the threat outside we have to deal with, we can not use FAITH as an alibi to stay isolated when. ..our planet is having health problems we must learn to manage, the connection with the Holy Creation and ...how to get back this symbiotic relationship with Mother Earth... it's not enough to be good kids... harmless peaceful and wise, unfortunately it's not enough friends. Jesus Christ is teaching us step forward and take an individual decision of ...seeking the God's particle within and let it shine like a diamond..evil is so obvious....there must be something better beyond this evil obsession or...infatuation for evil

I find this a strange circumstance, when Confusius is the Progenitor of Korea, by definition. The Confusionism of PRC is misplaced, that they make this distinction. In their history he is a bastard. The PRC has Lao Tse, I believe it is the property that originated English "Confusion", Maoism is dystopian, and so prefers chaos.
