The main difference is that interceptor can be modded to do anything and everything ktm can do, but ktm cannot. So if you have a higher budget, dont go for ktm, instead, go for interceptor and mod it based on yout style. youll get the charm of a retro and way better engine experience. look into big bore project, interceptor weight reduction, interceptor scrambler mods, insulated spoke wheels, etc.

If you compare with adv390 then maintenance and spare part cosst of 650 is on expensive side. Plus low ground clearance is a issue. I know retro part is there but practically when you touch patchy or mixed terrain you will feel that adv390 is much more practical bike than 650 anyday. Also, the extra mods on the 650 including bike price will cost you way more than the new adv390. The 650 weight is also big problem very hard to maneuver including the heat issue is very irritating. When you pay 3.5L+ i expect good amount of pillion comfort with minimum electronics and better brakes too. How far can you go with the mod. That's my question brother.

Sir I m confused 390adv gives me features , but interceptor comes with 2 cylinder and bmw with look and branding ,plz suggest me a bike in between 5-7lakh with good pillion comfort, and good safety features.., for long and short ride , . Ktm engines will come up with issues oftenly so just go for royal enfield and I've ridden both im having interceptor currently which feels really good and service costs are minimal
