Switched up the outro music for this little collection of Paper 2 questions! Should I release this as a full track?

I was sitting on this question for atleast 10 minutes, i was debating on whether or not i wanted the actual heights or just in a ratio. So glad i just stuck with the ratio 🙏

That's good! This question was quite weirdly asked I think, compared to how these scale factor questions are asked normally. Thanks for watching! :)

A huge clue for me when I saw the question was that 64 and 125 are both cube numbers and 144 and 16 are both square numbers. Even though it isn't non calc they still like clean answers, and it can really help you if you just think and look at what relationship is shared with both numbers. But then I thought about what density is actually found by and it confirmed my guess. Good luck on last paper everyone.
@mancubsofficial5 ай бұрын
Yeah, that was also what led me to believe that we should cube root those numbers, and square root the others. It is usually the case for non calc, but clean answers are usually a sign of a right answer! Good luck for the last paper today as well! :) thanks for watching!

@@gabriql How'd you find the last question? Don't have time to make a video yet (chem and further maths tomorrow rip) but planning to at some point! Quite a few peeps found it rather challenging.

@@mancubsofficial i managed to do it in like 15 mins ish, but yeah I did it. My friends all didn't do it though. I thought it was a good question.

@@mancubsofficial You know for the prooving that this is a trapezium question, will I still get the full marks if i only proved that 1 pair of angles (top left and bottom left) add up to 180 therefore they are cointerior, or did i have to do this with both sets of angles (right and left pairs of angles) to prove that they are cointerior and therefore the lines are parallel.
@mancubsofficial5 ай бұрын
@@tahmidhassan1088 I think you will still get the marks as you only need to prove that the two angles are co-interior to show that AB and CD were parallel (I stupidly wrote corresponding instead of co-interior, oh well). :)

i read the final part a bit wrong and put 5:15:12 as my final answer with all the workings and methods. Should I only lose 1 mark for my final answer? Please let me know
@mancubsofficial5 ай бұрын
The answer mark is only one mark, so you should get all the rest of the working out marks if they are all correct. Sometimes, examiners will see you have the correct answer written in the working out, and a misspelling in the answer, so they might be a bit lenient, but I can't guarantee anything. Hopefully you do get the marks you deserve though! Thanks for watching! :)

IS it really right? My daughter told me this question, I feel there is a condition missing like "Similarity Cylinder", otherwise Surface area and volume have will have no connection with height of the cylinder, one small volume cylinder can be extremely high with very tiny top and bottom.
@mancubsofficial5 ай бұрын
I do agree with you I think, the question didn't explicitly say that these cylinders are similar (everyone is assuming they are) which is something Edexcel should've considered! If we do assume they are similar, then we can use the surface area and volume (mass) to find the ratio of the heights, as we are just looking at the ratio of 1 dimensions between the cylinders. This question could've been asking for the ratio of the radii of each cylinder, and I think it would've still been the same answer. I may be mistaken though, but for now, this is what I think! Thanks for watching and commenting! :)

@@mancubsofficial Yes, if we did not miss anything from original question, then this one should be excluded from the scoring as assume & guess should never be used in mathematics. It is a rather easy question with correct condition.

I cannot recall correctly if the question asked for the ratio in its simplest form, but if not, then it will get full marks (as in the mark scheme for some questions, it says "oe" which means "or equivalent".) Hopefully you do! Thanks for watching! :)

I thought it was just height of L: height of P as the final answer- did i just misread it?

I think you did... you should mostly have the same working out so you should still get quite a few marks. Thanks for watching! :)
