Iam basith What's difference "between "&among"
@loudencm4 жыл бұрын
Couldn’t we just simplify this by ignoring “into” and just using “in”? It seems to work for most cases and you don’t need to over explain technical differences.
@destroyzerplay4 жыл бұрын
looks weird using only "in"
@loudencm4 жыл бұрын
It might “look weird” as a student and you are expecting to use “into” in a distinct way. But as a teacher, I have noticed students using “into” incorrectly. My solution has been to minimize the use of “into” and instead use “in”. You can say: We jumped in the pool He ran in the building I put my hand in my pocket All of these examples are clear and correct, it is not necessary to use “into”. But vice versa, if you use “into” when you should use “in” it is almost always incorrect. For example: My books are into my bag. We were into the pool. Both are incorrect and I have heard these from students. So in order to eliminate confusion, it is best to use “in” for all these cases. There may be only a handful of examples where “into” is absolutely necessary.
