Congestion pricing is yet another component of the global economic attack on the working class. It is cruel and extremely unintelligent for society. The MTA and NYC can find more fair and effective ways to generate income.

There are 23 MTA board member @ $192.000 per year and the president @ $350.000 a year. How much time do they spend working at the job. Less would be better. They built a mall, downtown NYC for 1 bullion $ and it's closed already.

This was done in London and didn't work. Just a way to make more money. The city doesn't need any more projects to fix the ones that are old and obsolete. On the long run MTA will be better transforming towards privatization. It will be more profitable. A larger mass corporation or government run industry loses money sooner or later.

This is not equitable. Traffic will increase in the south bronx and Northern Manhattan, making pollution worse. How is it that a wealthy area will get less pollution but poorer areas will get worse. That is environmental injustice and indefensible. The MTA gets billions from the State and Federal Government. They got 19.8 billion last year alone yet they keep overspending on projects and wasting money. They find new ways to cry broke. I don't drive but I don't support this because this will not benefit all New Yorkers. People in the Bronx will see worse air quality and that is wrong. People shouldn't continued to be taxed due to decades of mismanagement by the MTA. I hope the lawsuits succeed in tossing out congestion pricing for the scam that it is

@@Atrail_Mckinley4786 seems like you can't do basic math. A single bag of coffee weighs 1lb max, and a single truck can easily carry 40k lb+ of cargo. $15 spread across 40k bags works out to less than one half half of one cent per bag. And each bag can make dozens of cups of coffee...

@jimbo1637 Seems like you don't know how to read. Businesses have admitted that if this goes through, they will past down the cost of deliveries onto the consumer increasing costs. Not to mention the environmental harm this will do by increasing traffic in places like the South Bronx, which will increase pollution. The fact is that congestion pricing is not an equitable solution, and if the MTA better managed the money they already got, they wouldn’t need to cry broke. I hope the lawsuits succeed because even though I don't drive, this will not benefit most New Yorkers

@@Atrail_Mckinley4786 Did you even read what I wrote? My point is that it doesn't matter if the cost gets passed along because the cost is less than half a cent per pound. At most that's, 5 cent increase to your weekly grocery bill.

Yep. It is in another down cycle. This down cycle will likely last at least ten years and perhaps as much as 20 years. And it may do what Bloomberg always said he wanted for NYC and that is that it is only for the very wealthy and those wo serve them. Essentially, a caste system.
