hold up in a city where there’s probably thousands cyclists only 30 died, doesn’t that mean the streets are already safe. And out of 30, 23 were Ebikes. then it’s not the streets that are unsafe it’s the cyclists are unsafe

That is probably because of induced demand. People don't cycle where it is unsafe or inconvenient, so when people do cycle, and get hurt, the statistic is a lot worse. Induced demand is not just for cars, it also works for any mode of transportation.

How does vision zero work without controlling everyone's driving habits?

In my experience almost ALL cycle riders think they own the road and that traffic laws fo not apply to them! Lane splitting, sidewalks, red lights, crosswalk laws all ignored by cyclists but its everyone else at fault.

How does this new spending stop this from happening if the driver was intoxicated? Lets get real. Vision zero sounds good but in reality we already have laws in place that they are trying to achieve. The main thing behind the vision zero is about controlling the drivers. Changing behavioral habits is what its all about. Does little to stopp the drunk drinking or distracted driving or even reckless driving. More speed cameras will fix it lol.

I wish repeat offenders mostly cars in Bergen County, NJ and the rest of the state had stricter enforcement laws by town to take away vehicles with a history of breaking the law.

Not a dictatorship yet, they could suspend licenses or registrations but not confiscate personal property.

It should be banned everywhere. We are doing it all over in Canada too it's silly . So many laws already in place can deal with the problems.
