Thought of this right away IN 1 Samuel 16 - "Then the Lord said, “Rise and Anoint Him; THIS is the One.” So Samuel took the horn of oil and Anointed Him in the presence of His Brothers, and from that Day on the Spirit of the Lord came powerfully upon David..." That horn of oil was tilted towards others but would not flow. But when it became The Chosen One's turn, the oil poured BIGTIME. And then David went right back to where He was when He was summoned from. I wonder what David's Brothers were thinking about all this while it was happening. And I wonder what David Himself thought about this 'out of nowhere' experience in front of His Whole Family. And for David to go right back to what He was doing AND actually enjoying (being 'just a Shepherd'). Seems to Me God maybe had more work to do not just in David but maybe even His While Family. DEVELOPMENT. And then yrs later when EVERYTHING was in PERFECT alignment, it ALL just came Together - just as God said it would! Whew....thank You, JESUS!!!
