No those are two different courses. AP Gov focuses on U.S. government and politics. Comparative looks at six other governments across the world.

How are lame ducks defined exactly? My teacher said it was somebody who had lost the election but was still the president due to the 2.5 months between election day and inauguration day. Considering what you said about Obama, this seems to have been incorrect. How does AP gov define the term?

Both are correct I believe; lame duck just means you're still in office but are guaranteed not to be at a set point in the future, whether because you lost the re-election, chose not to run, or aren't qualified to due to term limits.
