Conic Sections pt. 1 - Parabolas

This video is part one in a series introducing conic sections; the circle, ellipse, parabola, and hyperbola. In this video we will focus on the Parabola. We will look at two different ways to understand Parabolas, use the definition to derive the formula, and then work out several applications. We will also discuss an interesting and important property of Parabolas that explains why they are so ubiquitous in our world.
