@@beautifulellie1223 cults terrify me. Even though Greek people aren't so religious anymore (especially the younger ones), the vast majority identifies as Greek Orthodox and we hostorically have no cults or very few. After hearing you talk about this, I actually started thinking about the effects from the lock downs. People started really missing the interpersonal connections and it really had a negative impact on people mentally. I don't tend to have much sympathy for inmates, but I also strongly believe they should have the opportunity to be reformed and become a better person. Allowing them interactions with friends and family could make an enormous difference. It's horrible that prisons are getting rid of training and learning opportunities for them also.

There should be more “family visits.” There should be visits allowed in a very comfortable setting. Like a living room setting where the kids of the prisoner can hang out with dad. They can have a meal together, watch tv, play a board game, and just hang out all day. Kids need this with their parent to keep up their relationship and they need the bonding time.

@@elizabethwillis885 I didn't say that children weren't allowed in prison or weren't taken there. I said prison is no place to take a child. The thought of making it like home for them, definitely gives the wrong impression. If you've committed a crime you lose all rights until you've completed your sentence. That includes access to children. Half the population in prison are perverts, and you want to bring your children into that.

My father and brother have both been to Parchment Penitentiary. They both say that to this day conditions there are horrific. Some images were leaked whenever a bunch of inmates took over a few different blocks of the prison where the rest of the prison went on lockdown and this went on for a week I believe. The staff couldn't control the inmates and when they tried to they used excessive force. In the videos you could see 2 dead bodies that inmates claimed to have been there before the revolution or whatever. The toilets are overflowing, some sinks don't work in the cells, rats, cockroaches, and in general the structure of the prison is in deplorable conditions preventing heating and cooling from work properly.

Bailey, I’m SO glad you touched on this subject but; the torture that Black Men endured during reconstruction, and the subsequent mass incarceration of African Americans to chain gangs and thereby them and their families being designated to stay in generational poverty should really be it’s own video. My great uncles are still terrified to leave Miami and venture into the south because it brings back so many bad memories for them

My husband is in prison right now out here in Colorado and they recently changed phone systems because the old one was finally approved for calls home to be free, so, in the quest for money, they switched to a phone system that still charges money. This was in October this year and the new system is flawed horribly, my phone no longer registers his calls coming in and neither my carrier, nor their new system seems to have a fix for it, so I haven't been able to hear his voice since September 26th 😢 I am still fighting to find another solution for calls and have found the same issue with other carriers. Our prison system is just super messed up💔💔

Life sentence ppl def should NOT be allowed to have conjugal visits. Especially if they k1lled. They should NOT be allowed pleasures like that. I don’t think they should even be allowed to see loved ones.
