When I found 'aua' in my book, I never thought German people gonna say 'aua' like, literally 'aua' when they feel hurt. Because I always hear people just 'auch' or something. Then, I find this video.. really mindblowing

I am a big fan of these videos. They are very engaging and very helpful in learning other languages. One question that I do have is what about words such as aua; words that you instinctively say. For instance, I would imagine that no matter how much I learn another language, I will probably instinctively say ouch if someone one pinches me or if I touch a hot surface. I suppose another example is someone is probably more likely to swear in their native language as opposed to trying to swear in the target language that they are speaking.

I think this is the best method of learning a language. But I'd like the translations more literal, for example "Ich habe Hunger" to be translated as "I have hunger" and perhaps further explained as "I am hungry", not directly as "I am hungry" because sometimes I look at the text in German and the one in English and I can't tell which words correspond to which. Just my suggestion. Great work, btw, I'm glad I discovered you!
