This owner came in as an investor and not as a lover of the paranormal or the historic value of the home. She came in strictly to stream as much revenue as she could to herself. Her tactics are going to hurt the paranormal community which already takes a lot of heat from non believers, and devalue this historic home. Such a shame, I really wanted to visit the next time I fly home to Massachusetts. Sadly, I will not support this owner or her greed.

TCH is a business regardless of it has one owner. It is illegal to withhold employee’s wages for any reason. That is called “wage theft.” You can also put a lean on the TCH business. It is illegal to refuse refunds for goods and or services not provided and banks will quickly refund your money. All the money being withheld should be reported to the better business bureau (BBB) and they can and will provide a mediation to resolve the issues. This is a nonprofit organization that is in place to help consumers deal fairly with companies for this exact purpose. I would also contact the IRS to make sure that the income was reported accurately. An abusive narcissist is always going to reverse blame, retaliate, and re-victimize. Her mental health is not your responsibility, full stop.

Not certain way you mean. The owner of the property is known to be a fraud. Is known to have mental illness and issues hear it she has actually been put into mental institutions for evaluation. She was not so by police. She has committed fraud it is now being brought up not only on cases against her by others but will be served by the state in another case for 2025 and she better be ready for it because it's serious. She probably is not aware but the state is living a huge kiss against her and she has no type of authority and clearly she doesn't actually understand law especially in that state. So to stop her lies deceptions and fraud as well as crimes the state is now going to take action at which point the class action lawsuit is going to be levied against her but a much higher level on our ability to run as a business will be ended and that will be by the state ​@@LisaBodentien

Late November 2023 I visited TCH with my teenage daughter, her friend and my sister-in-law. We had the pleasure/privilege of a tour lead by Cory. He was so patient with all of our questions and really took the time to make it a truly exceptional experience for the girls. It’s very sad to see how the new owner is destroying what Cory and Jen built. She had a dedicated honest staff who cared deeply for the house. Even in the hostile work environment she created they were still clearly working hard to keep the business running successfully until they had no other choice but to leave. So sorry this is happening to all of you but glad to see you are fighting back and not letting her get away with this outrageous behavior.

Jason Hawes I want to say bringing this to the paranormal community was such a good decision. I think the mistreatment of employees, previous owners, etc. Is disgusting and very unprofessional. In my opinion I am glad everyone is taking a stand against this malicious treatment and it's completely devastating to see how she is acting. She doesn't seem like she cares about anyone else but herself, and that's not what it should be. Also, if she is threatening lawsuits, I would put her threats to the test. I feel as if she needs to be taken to court. I hope something changes.

We visited when Corey owned it. He was a great host, you could tell he loved the home & truly respected the spirits there as their home. It was only myself & 1 member of my team along with her husband. They had is very affordable so we could investigate & I felt like one of the reasons he did keep it affordable was because he also cared about the history of the location & the spirits that they enjoyed seeing the evidence that people captured.

Even if she doesn't want to sell it, I feel like the spirits on the property will drive her away. In my experience, spirits/entities want respect. My wife and I went to the house a couple months ago and we were with Reed and Steve and they were excellent tour guides and I could tell they really loved their jobs and the home itself. Both guys made our experience the best it could’ve been and taught us so much about the history of the home and paranormal investigating all together. Last time I check if there is no defamation of character or any non disclosure agreements you have the right to freedom of speech and press therefore there is nothing wrong with telling your side of the story. I so feel for Steve. The fire is such a common accident with chemicals. I only know it can happen because I used to oil paint. I was taught how to dispose of my oil rags by other painters because they can spontaneously combust too. In general, we are taught that flammable just means to keep away from open flames (and even that we don't properly explain as there was recently a case of a girl getting serious burns from acetone catching fire because she didn't know the vapors could light from a nearby candle). The standard isn't to explain spontaneous combustion and the science around it so you can understand the seriousness of correct handling. It's like people who mix their household cleaners together and accidently poison themselves because we've taken that knowledge for granted and just expect everyone to know.

Funny thing, I got to go down into this rabbit hole via rewatching John Wolfe's video essay on TCH and following through suggested videos and links under them. And full disclosure, I *am* convinced that Cody and Satori's method is somewhat, if not entirely, staged. That being said, I do not have anything against people doing spooky themed tricks in allegedly haunted places. It totally adds to the wonder, aesthetic and experience, just like any other magic show out there. As a skeptic, I would willingly participate in sessions like the ones by Cody and Satori *knowing* that they have some tricks up their sleeves. After all, if we can pay for CGI fantasy films to sympathize with the characters, we can do the same with deeming a whiff of draft a ghost's handshake attempt. I *do* think, however, the cases of emotional exploitation in Cody & Satori's session at TCH is NOT okay. And I am starting to suspect if those sketchy sessions were forced to be taken to extreme due to this narcissistic owner. *If* this is true, Cody, Satori, I believe that now is the perfect time to state the truth and further expose the owner. If either your psychic abilities do contribute to your sessions or you just don't have the courage... you know what, I think I would be fine left in the dark as long as you keep your sessions harmless, enjoyable, and maybe even historically educating. I wish your career as cultural curators and entertainers are not painful anymore. Same goes with all the other original TCH fam. All of you deserve to heal and find justice. Please stay strong, hope things are getting better.

I'm watching this after the original airing. I've watched several big investigation videos that have happened since the new owner took over. I knew that those videos felt different than ones from before but I wasn't completely sure why.... I figured it was the heavy commercialization of the location that was pretty obvious (the camping outside, that kind of thing - more ways to make money). Now it makes so much sense. And I also thought the evidence captured felt different some too.... Well, they apparently have to approve what is put out there... smdh. Thank you all of you for telling the truth, well done. It’s important because that house is so special and also for the paranormal community. If I had wrote a statement about my business and people working there as she did🙈I wouldn’t have any customers left. So thank you to all of you, for loving the house and working so hard for the house ❤. I think it’s just sad that she has done what she did. I REALLY hope that anyone NOT impacted try to claim to be in order to get the financial help from others' true needs of help. DANG, I could see that happening, and maybe even anonymously connected to the owner!!! Just keep an eye out. I don't trust the owners enough to NOT think that could / would happen if not careful. And she's cutting anyone who might cut into that goal out of the picture. She has to know the movie rights would likely be worth more than the house itself to the right buyer.

Guys, take caution when dealing with the person being discussed in this conversation. This is my professional opinion from a Birds Eye view. Said person is exhibiting signs of machiavellian tendencies and psychopathy. Persons with vindictive behavior fall within the realm of the “dark triad.” That being said, people w that personality type will likely stop at absolutely NOTHING in order to get what they want. Did you know that many CEOs and high level professionals are actually psychopaths or sociopaths? Look up dark triad personalities in women. Quite interesting. It really is horrible that she obviously only wanted this home to make money off of it. The difference between her ownership and Jen and Corey's ownership is glaringly obvious. If she thinks she's hiding her personality flaws, she's not. She's narcissistic and toxic. Jen and Coreys love for that place, and their passion for its history and spirits was also glaringly obvious. I think you don't have to worry too much about what narrative is most believable. Its pretty clear which narrative is the truth and that's all her own doing from just the way she is acting honestly.

You're absolutely right about (empty) threats of lawsuits by bullies .... they think they will scare people with that threat. What they are actually doing is showing that, as you say, they don't want you to tell the truth. I'd love to see these kind of people try to slap a lawsuit on people who are telling their own stories, and telling them truthfully. They are just making fools of themselves, showing how stupid and really powerless they are, and showing that they are afraid of the truth because it makes them look bad.

Whomever the person was that was mistreating them that way, yelling at them, disrespecting them and upsetting the kids so much, as well as many or possibly all of the other ppl who were there to witness this event (the customers who showed up for their paid tours, etc), didn’t recognize the grandmother and kids as known ppl or someone important. They saw them as just any regular person that came on the property that day to ask questions about seeing if they could get a tour for the kids. *That means, that’s how they treat anyone and everyone and that the same exact type of a situation, something very similar or even worse has happened before and has probably continued to happen since! Again, absolutely despicable, unacceptable and should not be tolerated at all!* It wouldn’t matter if they were completely unknown ppl to the paranormal world, if they were just a regular person, *it’s unacceptable and they’re absolutely no excuse or defense for it!* *_Esp the children part, that part is beyond messed up! You Ian rto be really effed up to do that to and around children!!_* Hearing that it was done _in front of many other ppl,_ *customers paying for tours at that, is just **_VILE_** and makes this all even worse!!* 😑

I just want to say to the former employees on the panel I can relate to loving a job so much but the employer making it impossible to stay and impossible to leave because of abusive treatment. Nobody deserves that. I work with people with disabilities and my last job consistently understaffed and cut corners so the safety of everyone was at risk. O had to speak up. The result was hostile. Being a single mom living check to check I was so scared but still glad I left and I am so glad to see you have this level of support. It should be like this for more people. I know you love the location and all the work you did should have been met with respect by your boss.

My sister burned down her home this way. She had cleaned that day and just threw the rags in a bucket as she was tired from cleaning and went to bed. As far as your "previous employer" is concerned, it sounds as though she had some major problems, perhaps about leaving her house, or being around people (agoraphobia, for example); and her irrational texts and emails indicate perhaps deeper issues as well. As you have said all along, she needs help; it's so unfortunate that you all had to suffer because of it. I hope that EVERYTHING gets resolved for the best. I hope she gets the help she needs; I hope someone worthy and able purchases the House, and I hope you all get to go back to work there!!

It is so unbelievable that you all have to go through this. I have never been at this location and is on my bucket list, but not if this owner is going to run this amazing location like this. This however has happened at other locations, not to this extreme, but this is not the 1st place that the owner has treated their employees this way, ignored text messages, did not give refunds to people, double booked, not being there when she said she would be. A lot of guests have been screwed over at this location. It happened to me and some other volunteers, not employees, but volunteers over at the Bell Mansion in Fort Wayne. I love that place and the history of the location, but the owner and her side kick does this to others. And has threatened some volunteers with law suits when they were just defending them self and speaking the truth
