In this week's guitar lesson, you'll learn a simple stand-alone composition that demonstrates how to connect fill licks to basic chord shapes. These can be transposed to any key.

Another great video. I have been playing guitar for 30 years or so and have never really left the comfort of the cowboy chords... Your lessons have unlocked the rest of the fret board for me in a way that even I can understand... Thank you. You are the best teacher on KZbin as far a I am concerned...

This is an impressive lesson. Thank you for describing the relationships between the chords and licks and the scales they emerge from. One of the best lessons I’ve seen. Great tune, explanation and demonstration. And as you clearly say, very portable. Thank you.

I like the way you show the notes and tabs superimposed throughout the lesson. it helps me alot to see exactly what your doing and what I need to do. I have watched a few different KZbin instructors , most are helpful for a stuggling player like me. One thing I find most difficult is the timing of the notes. I usually rnd up with a totally different tune, but it's still great to have a template to try to follow. Thanks for your videos.

I loved this lesson. It reminded me of my favorite song by blues Man Jimmy Reed, honest I do. So I quickly worked out a finger style version of the song and it was really easy. The song has some of the best fill licks ever. I would’ve never thought to do that but everything fit perfectly with today’s lesson. Thanks again. Your lessons make my life better. Have a great day.

Thanks for the great video! Very informative. One thing that occurred to me during the video is the role that the A7 plays leading to the D chord: Even though the flat 7 is not part of the scale, it is approaching the D as though it were the V7 chord of the D. I've used 'approaching from the V' as a technique for modulating to a new key as I've heard so many times in great music. I greatly appreciate what you're doing for us.

Sounds like a happy fun song. I'm not sure why it seems more difficult than it should. I'm kinda starting over after not playing for 30 years. Also just received my Vidami Blue and it's a game changer. Thank you Brian for such awesome lessons that connect all the dots. Thank you also for integrating the Vidami into your Premium site.
