Usually this is very common...i have several..YES!! i won the autoimmune lottery more than once....it's a constant struggle but not impossible...the only thing that irritates me more than the actual diseases is people tell me to remain positive....???????....OK....i really don't think there's much of a choice here. That being said, you have mitigate what you can and do your best...no one can expect more than that.

Thank you for sharing this. I’ve been dealing with ovarian cancer for the last 3 years thinking I’ve had sjögrens for decades…annoying but manageable … only to have recent bloodwork indicate that I have lupus. Needless to say, I had a pity party and then realized that I’ve been dealing with these symptoms for decades, now I just have a name for them. Some days I still have a good sulk, but it’s nice to know that I’m not alone.

And hopefully now you will also have appropriate treatment, but sadly not a cure. Get enough sleep and avoid stress, learn about the nervous system x

I have PMR, Colitis, Centremere antibodies and NXP2 antibodies. My doc also did a workup and multiple CT's to look for cancer because of the NXP2 - my symptoms are kind of all over the place. CT scans accidentally found coronary artery disease and pulmonary hypertension. They also showed a lung nodule and a gallstone I didn't know I had. Now, due to headaches, scalp tenderness and tinnitus, there is fear of GCA. She wants to have a temporal artery biopsy done. Yes, it is starting to get a little overwhelming. I was blessed with a very knowledgeable and thorough rheumatologist.

As the slogan goes "Buy one, collect them all" My particular combo is Hashimotos and Celiac. I have ongoing inflammation in my joints and rosacea that has not yet been dx as autoimmune. I have attempted to reduce my symptoms with diet (abstinence from certain foods and beverages) but I anticipate there will come a day when i will be dx with whatever is going on.

What advice is there about vaccinations (Covid, flu, etc) for people with RA and other autoimmune diseases? Is it beneficial or will it cause flares?

I’ve been told I have RA, Sjogren’s, Lupus, and Rhupus. No certainty of which of these. I also have Hashimoto’s and oral lichen planus. I had an episode of uveitis in 2021. This has been the one that has most affected my life. I don’t currently have a rheumatologist. I see a new rheumatologist in January. MTX 20mg a week control my symptoms. Does it matter what I have?
