Another great video! I wish my tutors when I was at college doing my 2330 were as informative and as good as you are. I have learnt more from your videos than I did for the 3 years that I spent at college when I was doing my electrical qualifications. I used to build control panels years ago and everything was torqued to spec, all cables were labelled with idents and back then I always used to wonder why these procedures weren't conducted in general electrical installations. I am 17th edition qualified and here we are now all these years later doing what I thought should have always been done from the start as it has always been done when building control panels etc. Cheers!

i have a fsu running from 2 gang switched unit in small bedroom it is powering a bed side light with a pull string i need to install another fsu to power outside secuirity light can i take a feed from the fsu that powers bedside light ? wasnt sure how many fsu you can from ring circuit

+R P We use a wiha torque screwdrivers at my college. The regs and manufacturers requires all terminations to be returned to manufacturers Specification for tightness. My learners are on week 6 and installing there first consumer unit and they are all using torque screwdrivers. Thanks for the question all the best GSH Electrical.

for a normal house consumer unit how would I know which wire to put in each terminal? Like there are multiple CPC and Neutral terminals as well as line

Thank you very muvh for your answer,the reason is I wanted to connect fcu to cu and clip the cable to white skirting so I thought flexi white cable will look much better than that grey one as it is in the room.Of course I wanted to put some ferruls on the stranded ends.Is it just not good practice or is it against regulations?

Knives and fingers,no matter how careful you are ,at some point you will have an accident.Why are you not using wire strippers????.Prevention is the best cure,you need to be aware of doing a pre-work survey and carry out a risk assessment before any work is commenced.
